The fashion world mourned when Giorgio Armani passed away in September 2025 at the age of 91. Now, the New York City home of the acclaimed designer is on sale for $9.95 million.
Found at 760 Madison Ave. inside a building deemed the Giorgio Armani Residences, the designer’s apartment was custom-made for the icon and was meant to be his “private Manhattan retreat,” according to the New York Post.
However, “he passed away before ever getting to step foot in it.” Because of that, it “means this newly listed residence comes in mint condition.”
Marketed by Madeline Hult Elghanayan and Sabrina Saltiel of Douglas Elliman, Elghanayan explained, “This offering is a rare chance to own Giorgio Armani’s personal pied-à-terre. This residence is brand new, completely unique and features bespoke finishes that you won’t find in any other home within the building.”
The Apartment Boasts Armani’s ‘Elegant Aesthetic’
GettyA relatively large space at around 2,005 square feet, the apartment is one of only two in the building that include two bedrooms. Beyond that, the home “reflects Armani’s famously pared-back, elegant aesthetic,” the Post points out.
Saltiel said, “It was conceptualized by Mr. Armani himself.”
Residents will surely appreciate the fact that the apartment is accessed by a “semi-private elevator that opens into a limestone-clad entry gallery, leading to a Madison Avenue-facing living room with oversized windows, 10-foot ceilings and custom parquet flooring.”
The eat-in kitchen, located in the corner of the unit, was custom-built for Armani by Molteni. Those who like to cook at home will find “rift-sawn white oak cabinetry, honed stone surfaces and fully integrated Gaggenau appliances.”
The “[s]pa-like bathrooms” feature Brazilian quartzite and Azul Macaubas marble as well as radiant heated floors, a soaking tub and platinum-finish fixtures. There is also a powder room where residents can find onyx accents.
Beyond that, the home offers custom Armani Casa lighting and a separate laundry room as well as integrated home automation and climate systems.
The Building Is Just as Impressive
Those who are fortunate enough to live in the Giorgio Armani Residences also get to enjoy perks that the building itself has to offer outside of their apartments.
“Residents of the Armani-branded building have access to a fitness studio, a spa treatment room, a Zen tearoom with tea service via Armani Ristorante and a landscaped terrace furnished entirely with Armani Casa pieces,” per the Post.
Finding “inspiration from historic Upper East Side architecture,” according to City Realty, there are only 10 luxury condominiums in the building.
Among other amenities, residents can enjoy the library and lounge with custom Casa Armani furniture as well as an outdoor terrace off the lounge.
“There will be a new Giorgio Armani flagship store in the base of the building, which is located in the heart of Madison Avenue’s most rarefied shopping district,” City Realty notes. “It is also close to Central Park, Park Avenue Armory, and five-star restaurants.”
