Gwyneth Paltrow’s Daughter Stuns in Her Mom’s Iconic Dress From the ’90s

It was a full-circle fashion moment for Gwyneth Paltrow and her daughter, Apple Martin.

The 21-year-old stepped out alongside her mom at the New York City premiere of Paltrow’s latest film, “Marty Supreme,” wearing the exact black Calvin Klein Collection dress her mother famously wore nearly three decades earlier. Apple chose the same sleek scoop-neck gown Paltrow wore to the 1996 premiere of “Emma,” instantly turning the red carpet into a nostalgic callback moment, per E! News.

Apple closely mirrored her mom’s original styling, pairing the minimalist dress with a simple top bun and diamond stud earrings. The understated look let the iconic silhouette speak for itself, while Paltrow also opted for black that evening. As the two posed side by side, their resemblance and shared sense of timeless style quickly became one of the night’s most talked-about moments.

A Family Affair on the Red Carpet

The premiere doubled as a rare family outing, with Apple’s younger brother, Moses Martin, also joining his mom and sister on the carpet. The 19-year-old kept things polished but relaxed, wearing a preppy coat-and-tie look with an easygoing twist. Moses appeared comfortable stepping into the spotlight alongside his family, marking an uncommon public appearance for the typically low-key college student .

Paltrow shares Apple and Moses with ex-husband Chris Martin, frontman of Coldplay. Though the former couple split in 2014, they have remained close co-parents, often showing up in support of their children’s milestones. On the carpet, the trio exchanged smiles and conversation, projecting a warm, supportive dynamic as they celebrated Paltrow’s new project together.

The event also brought out more family moments beyond the Paltrow-Martin clan. Paltrow’s co-star Timothée Chalamet arrived with his mother, Nicole Flender, continuing his bold orange fashion streak while promoting the film ahead of its Christmas Day release.

While Apple’s red carpet look paid homage to her mom’s fashion legacy, she has also begun carving out her own creative path. As previously reported, Apple made her public singing debut earlier this year at Cannery Hall in Nashville, performing the song “Satellite” alongside indie duo Jade Street, with Chris Martin watching from the audience .

The performance marked her first live appearance as a vocalist, though Apple is no stranger to music. She has contributed background vocals and songwriting credits to Coldplay tracks including “Let Somebody Go” and “feelslikeimfallinginlove.” While she is currently focused on her studies at Vanderbilt University, where she majors in law, history and society, Apple has spoken about balancing academics with creative pursuits like music, theater and modeling.

Between honoring her mother’s iconic fashion past and following her father’s musical footsteps, Apple’s recent appearances suggest she is embracing her creative interests while finding her own lane. As one classic dress proved on the red carpet, some styles truly stand the test of time.
