Rachel Zegler’s Sheer Jeans are Unlike Any Pants We’ve Seen Before: PHOTOS

There’s no doubt that the sheer trend is going strong. However, the popularity of the style means that it’s getting harder and harder to step out in something unique. Fortunately for Rachel Zegler, she managed to do just that while wearing sheer jeans that are a little unusual — as in, we’ve never seen pants like these before.

Entertainment Tonight took to Instagram to post about the look, writing in the caption: “Rachel Zegler stepped out to see ‘Wicked: For Good’ in these Nensi Dojaka part-denim, part-sheer bottoms.”

Indeed, while the top of the pants looked like a typical pair of jeans, they switched to lace mid-thigh, before transitioning to a sheer fabric that flowed down over her feet.

Entertainment Tonight also asked for people’s opinions, posing the question, “What’s your verdict?”

To be honest, the reactions were a little mixed, but we’re sure that Rachel won’t mind that considering she’s up for taking risks.

If Rachel’s sheer jeans are any indication, she’s not the kind of person who sticks with what everyone else is doing. While she was definitely jumping on a popular trend when it comes to the sheer aspect of her look, the sheer jeans combo was something new. And that surely intrigued the star.

In fact, Who What Wear published an article called, “Whether It’s Makeup or Movie Roles, Rachel Zegler Is Ready to Try Something New” — which seems to be more than a little accurate.

Rachel’s Look Is a Practical Take on the Sheer Trend

The sheer style can seem like a tricky trend to take on due to the fact that it (obviously) exposes what’s underneath the fabric. This seemingly won’t work out if you’re not into showing off your bra and panties as well as certain body parts. However, Rachel’s pants only expose her legs while keeping everything else private. This practical take on the trend is something that’s becoming more and more popular.

“If last year’s sheer look was about wearing as little fabric as possible—think: the sheerest-ever fabrics fashioned into the shortest-ever dresses and skirts and little else—this newer iteration factors one sheer piece or sheer layer into an otherwise wearable outfit,” Marie Claire explained in April 2023.

While noting brands who had jumped on the sheer-yet-practical trend, Marie Claire added, “Sure, there were sheer elements, but they weren’t overbearing. They were practical and feminine, proving that you don’t need to bear it all to partake in the trend—you just had to incorporate a see-through piece into your already-existing, fully-covered outfit.”
