Hallmark alums Alexa PenaVega and Carlos PenaVega are giving fans a look at their latest home renovation, and it did not take long for viewers to start asking an important question: When is their HGTV show coming?
The married couple recently shared a pair of videos showing themselves tackling a pretty major renovation at home. From taking out the kitchen cabinets to ripping up the floors, they are clearly not afraid to get their hands dirty.
Yep, this is not one of those projects where they are simply changing out some decorations and calling it a day. They are actually gutting parts of the house themselves, and fans seem to be having a lot of fun watching the process.
Honestly, after seeing the comments, it seems like plenty of people would be more than happy to watch an entire show about the PenaVegas renovating homes.
Alexa & Carlos Are Taking on a Major Renovation
The first renovation video (seen above) appeared on Instagram on Tuesday, August 4, 2026.
The couple captioned the post:
“Felt like redoing the kitchen 😆 let’s gut this place! #remodel #DIY #Kitchen”
The video shows Alexa and Carlos taking down the kitchen cabinets, with the room already looking significantly different as they work their way through the demolition.
Then came another renovation update just two days later.
On Thursday, August 6, the couple shared a second video (seen above) showing what appears to be the living room as they started ripping up the existing wood flooring.
This time, the caption read:
“Fine! We’ll rip out the floors 🤣 #remodel #diy #”barndo”
Yep, it seems like the kitchen renovation quickly turned into a much bigger project.
And let’s be real, that is probably how a lot of home renovations go. You start with one room, notice something else that needs to be changed, and suddenly you’re pulling up floors.
The videos also give fans a chance to see the couple working together outside of their usual acting projects. Rather than only sharing the finished result, Alexa and Carlos are documenting the demolition itself, which has made the updates especially fun for their followers.
Fans Think the PenaVegas Need Their Own HGTV Show
The comments on the two Instagram posts were filled with fans reacting to the renovation itself. Some viewers were especially impressed by the way Alexa and Carlos appeared to be handling the demolition without simply destroying everything in sight.
One fan pointed out, “Looks like you’re leaving it all intact so someone can use it again, which is great! Love seeing that. So many renovations where people just smash up the whole kitchen, when it looks fine. You’re doing a great job! 👏🔥”

Honestly, those comments are pretty relatable, but other fans had a different idea for what the next step should be. They want to see much more of this.

And one fan made the request especially clear, writing, “Yall seriously need to do a renovation show!! I would love to watch you guys do that!!”
There is no indication that an HGTV series is actually in development, so for now, these are simply fans having fun with the idea. Still, it seems like the concept has definitely caught people’s attention.
Let’s be real, Alexa and Carlos already have one major thing that would make the idea interesting: They have plenty of experience working together on camera.
