Andrew Walker’s Opry Experience

Walker’s post didn’t hold back on the awe factor. “Still trying to wrap my head around yesterday. 🤩 Standing on the @opry stage, getting to introduce the talented @tigirlily with my friend @thereallacey was unreal!” he wrote. Seriously, you can almost feel the electricity through the screen. The photos show Walker backstage, chatting with others, and soaking in the historic venue that has hosted music legends for decades.

Of course, Walker gave a heartfelt shoutout to the Hallmark family and fellow stars who made the day extra special. “Thank you to all the new and familiar faces who came from all over the U.S. and even Canada, sharing the day with my @hallmarkchannel family — what an honor! But we wouldn’t have been here without my friends @nikdeloach @polahaha @hogcity @sharonelawrence @official.james.denton @bradpaisley #grandoleopryChristmas movie airing Nov 29 8/7c,” he added. Let’s get real; that’s basically a Hallmark dream team. And we’re sure fans will be watching for every shoutout.

Spotlight on ‘A Grand Ole Opry Christmas’

All this excitement ties back to an upcoming Holiday film created in a partnership between Hallmark and the Opry. According to Hallmark’s synopsis, “A Grand Ole Opry Christmas” follows Gentry Wade (Nikki DeLoach), daughter of late country music icon Jett Wade, half of the famed duo Winters & Wade, who walked away from her songwriting dreams after her father’s tragic accident 30 years ago. When the Opry invites her to represent her dad at their centennial Christmas celebration, she’s hesitant to return to the place steeped in bittersweet memories.

Encouraged by her friends, Gentry visits the Opry and, while seated in one of the venue’s oak pews, is suddenly transported to 1995. Her lifelong friend Mac (Kristoffer Polaha), a country music talent manager, finds himself there too. Thanks to some Christmas magic, Gentry gets precious time with her father, inspiration to finish the song she started decades earlier, and answers to questions about her dad she’s carried for 30 years.
