One Hallmark movie quietly changed the course of Autumn Reeser’s life, and she still remembers exactly why she said yes to it. Fourteen years, twenty-two films, and one very tired new mother later — the beloved Hallmark star is looking back on it all.
As the network marked its 25th Birthday this week, she shared a heartfelt tribute on Instagram, tracing the line from a single decision made over a decade ago to the life she’s built since. What began with a Thanksgiving romance grew into 22 movies, lasting friendships and a devoted community of viewers.
Autumn Reeser Celebrates 14 Years With Hallmark Channel
Reeser accepted her first Hallmark role in 2012 because she connected with the character, enjoyed the romantic-comedy dialogue and was excited to search for vintage clothing for the project.
HallmarkThat movie was ‘Love at the Thanksgiving Day Parade,’ which costarred Antonio Cupo. At the time, Reeser was a tired new mother balancing work with raising her young son, Finn. He learned to walk in Vancouver while she was filming the movie.
“That one decision has led to so many gifts, 22 movies and a lifetime family,” Reeser wrote in her new Instagram tribute.
She also thanked viewers for supporting the stories she and her Hallmark colleagues have created.
“Thank you for loving what we do,” she added.

Autumn Reeser’s Hallmark Journey Began in 2012
GettyBefore finding her home at Hallmark, Reeser played Marcia Brady in the 2002 television movie ‘The Brady Bunch in the White House.’ She later became a fan favorite as Taylor Townsend on ‘The O.C.’
Her Hallmark career has included ‘A Country Wedding,’ ‘A Bramble House Christmas,’ ‘Junebug’ and six installments of ‘The Wedding Veil’ franchise.
Reeser celebrated her 20-film milestone in 2024, writing, “I’m grateful to have a home with the @hallmark company.” Her most recently released movie was 2025’s ‘We Met in December’, which paired her with Niall Matter.
Reeser will return opposite Wes Brown in ‘Christmas Delivered’, her 22nd Hallmark movie, during the network’s 2026 holiday season.
Autumn Reeser Says Hallmark Fits Her Life’s Purpose
GettyIn an interview with EntertainmentNow in November 2025, Reeser said that her connection to the network goes deeper than steady acting work.
“The way that I see my purpose at this time on Earth is to be a leader in the ways of the heart,” she said.
Reeser explained that Hallmark’s focus on emotionally uplifting stories fits naturally with that calling.
Her own spiritual journey, which deepened after her divorce, also led her to create Earth School, an online community centered on self-discovery, connection and heart-focused leadership.
Fourteen years after accepting that first movie, Reeser can now see how neatly the pieces came together. The roles gave her a creative home, but the people she met along the way gave her something even more lasting: a family.
