Brennan Elliott’s return to TV, nearly a year after losing his beloved wife to cancer, has Hallmark fans thrilled for him — even if the role isn’t on Hallmark Channel.
On January 16, 2026, Elliott revealed via Instagram that he’ll appear as a “guest star” on an episode of ABC’s popular drama “9-1-1,” sharing, “This episode is intense, emotional, and full of the heart that makes this show so special and such a success. Getting offered to step into this world and play along side such a great cast was truly thrilling!”
Brennan Elliott Will Play a Physical Therapist on ABC’s ‘9-1-1’
Elliott will appear as a character named Adam on the January 22 episode of “9-1-1,” which stars Angela Bassett, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Elijah M. Cooper, Kenneth Choi, and Aisha Hinds.
The episode’s synopsis, per ABC, states, “As Hen (Hinds) continues to seek out a diagnosis for her mysterious symptoms, her friends and family rally behind her. Meanwhile, Harry (Cooper) hits a wall in his attempts to complete the academy firefighting exam and looks for some much-needed motivation.”
A preview of the episode shows Elliott playing Hen’s new physical therapist, who appears to have a cardiac emergency while working with her.
Elliott addressed his post to the “best fans in the world,” and they flooded it with notes of congratulations, including one person who wrote, “Awesome! So happy for you. Love this show. 🙌😍”
Another commented, “Locked in!! Cannot wait to watch! Fantastic! 👏🏻❤️👏🏻”
“Well I never watched this show,” someone else wrote, “but you can bet the dvr is about to be set for 1/22. They are lucky to have you. Thanks for letting us know.”
Brennan Elliott is Slowly Easing Back Into Work After Difficult Year
HallmarkPrior to “9-1-1,” Elliott’s last TV project was the September 2024 Hallmark movie “His and Hers” co-starring Lacey Chabert. His wife, Camilla Rowe, had been battling stomach cancer for eight years when she died in March 2025.
Elliott took some time to adjust to life as a single dad to their two kids, 13-year-old Liam and 11-year-old Luna, before jumping back into acting. In early December, fans were thrilled when he made his first Hallmark appearance in over a year at the Hallmark Christmas Experience in Kansas City.
The following weekend, he appeared at Christmas Con in New Jersey and told EntertainmentNow that he hopes to continue making Hallmark movies for a long time to come.
“It’s an honor to be able to do something, a character from a movie, that makes somebody feel good,” Elliott said. “As I always say, you never feel bad after watching a Hallmark movie. It’s an honor. It’s an honor to make them. I’ve done 30 or 31 — I would rather do these the rest of my career ’cause they’re great, you know?”
When Hallmark aired several of his “Crossword Mysteries” and “Flower Shop Mysteries” movies during the first weekend of 2026, Elliott wrote on Instagram, “THANKYOU for watching , for the messages, and for always showing up and supporting yours truly! Grateful doesn’t even begin to cover it!”
Elliott’s episode of ABC’s “9-1-1” will air on January 22 at 8 p.m. Eastern time.

You have definitely outgrown the Hallmark writing. I have been watching your work for years and it is time for you to move up and on to writing that shows your acting skills more intent. I realize that you got your start on the Hallmark Channel and I know that you are appreciative of it, but it’s time to move on.
