Brennan Elliott is giving Hallmark fans another reason to get excited.
The former “Strong Medicine” star recently hinted about some pretty big changes happening in his life, along with sharing a nostalgic look back at his younger days. But there was one particularly intriguing tease that caught fans’ attention. Although he isn’t revealing all the details just yet, Elliott made it clear that something new is on the horizon, and it sounds like it could bring him back to set sooner than later.
Luckily, it seems like fans may not have to wait too much longer to find out exactly what he has planned.
Elliott Has Some Exciting News to Share With His Fans
“Had too!!” Elliott wrote in the caption of his Sept. 8 Instagram post, referring to the handsome throwback photo he shared with his fans.
As it turns out, the photo surfaced while Elliott and his kids were in the middle of some serious seasonal cleaning. “Kids and I are in the middle of a fall cleaning! Exhausted! #packingsucks! Possible move!🤭🤫 don’t say anything!!!!! 😂,” he teased, adding that it’s “amazing” what you can find when going through old belongings.
And one of those finds was a photo of a younger Elliott.
“I know it’s not #throwbackthursday but it’s amazing what pics u come across!!!!” he wrote. “Look at this youngster trying way too hard! 😂😂 wow to b young again!”
But the throwback wasn’t the only thing that had fans buzzing about. Near the end of his caption, the actor dropped a major hint about what could be coming next for him.
“Also have some good filming news to share very soon 🙏 #backatit! On set in near future! ! 🎥 🎦 📺 details soon!”
So, what exactly is Elliott getting ready to film? He isn’t saying just yet, but judging by the reaction from fans in the comments, they’re more than ready to find out:

Fans Have Been Calling for Another ‘Crossword Mysteries’ Installment
While Elliott has made it clear in the past that there aren’t any new “Crossword Mysteries” projects to announce yet, he also didn’t hide his enthusiasm for the idea of stepping back into Detective Logan O’Connor’s shoes. Back in August, the actor shared how much it means to him that fans continue to champion the hit series and that he’d be happy to revisit the character if the opportunity ever comes along.
The “Crossword Mysteries” franchise follows newspaper crossword editor Tess Harper (Lacey Chabert) and NYPD detective Logan O’Connor (Elliott) as they team up to solve unexpected homicides using word clues and puzzles, per Hallmark Mystery.
“Happy Sunday #brennies,” Elliott greeted fans in the caption of his Aug. 2 Instagram post. “Just had to give a huge THANKYOU and that I hear you all wanting more #crosswordmysteries movies. I’m sure @hallmarkchannel hears you too.”
He continued, “I will let you all know if I hear anything, but just wanted to say that I am so glad you all enjoy this series so much and I’d love to bring the character of this guy #detectiveloganoconnor back to your screens. Here is to that maybe happening some day! But touches my heart how much you all love it and want many more.”
