Chad Michael Murray & His Wife Are Couples Goals in Mic’d Up Video

Chad Michael Murray and Sarah Roemer just reminded fans why they’re considered one of Hollywood’s most low-key, lovable couples — and it all happened at a hockey game.

The pair recently attended an NHL matchup between the Buffalo Sabres and the Boston Bruins, and a mic’d-up clip shared by the National Hockey League quickly went viral.

The video captured the Hallmark Channel alum’s passionate, hilarious, and very relatable reactions as he cheered on his hometown team from the front row.

The Video Quickly Went Viral

From the moment the clip begins, Murray is fully in the game-day spirit.

At one point, he jokes, “I stole someone’s hat. I gotta tell you these hats are hot,” while proudly sporting the accessory.

The playful energy continues as he carefully places his drink on the edge of the glass in front of him and wonders aloud, “Do we learn the hard way by putting this here.”

When the person next to him suggests that sometimes you do have to learn the hard way, Murray leans into the moment, embracing the unpredictable nature of both hockey — and life.

Later in the video, someone near the couple spilled their drink by placing it in the same spot as Murray.

As the crowd chants “Let’s go Buffalo,” the “One Tree Hill” alum bangs on the glass, fully immersed in the high-stakes energy of the game.

The Couple Was Both Into the Game

Roemer, right by his side, matches his enthusiasm with her own playful commentary.

After a missed opportunity on the ice, she laughs, “My hat’s going on. Maybe it will change the luck.”

Murray then switches things up, tossing on a Sabres jersey in hopes of shifting the momentum. “So far not so good,” he admits with a grin when the superstition doesn’t immediately pay off.

Not to be outdone, Roemer ups the ante with a joke that had fans cracking up: “Might have to try going shirtless in the end.”

The candid, unscripted moment gave fans a rare peek into the couple’s dynamic — one that blends humor, support and genuine friendship.

Social media users were quick to react, with many praising their chemistry. “Love the passion,” commented the official account for “Sullivan’s Crossing,” while others pointed out Murray’s unmistakable hometown pride.

“I never realized CMM had such a Buffalo accent!” one fan wrote.

Murray Recently Bought a House in Buffalo

That Buffalo connection runs deep. Murray, 44, was born and raised in the city, and he’s never been shy about showing love for his roots.

In fact, he revealed in late 2024 that he and Roemer had purchased a home there.

“We just got a house in my hometown of Buffalo and we’re moving in. I’m excited,” he shared at the time, adding that he goes “full Clark Griswold” when it comes to holiday decorating for their kids.

Married since 2015, Murray and Roemer share three children and have intentionally kept their family life out of the spotlight.

Despite busy careers, they’ve built a lifestyle centered around togetherness — often traveling as a unit while Roemer homeschools their kids on the road.
