Will ‘Curious Caterer’ Ever Return to Hallmark? Andrew Walker Provides Update

Three mystery franchises will return to Hallmark Channel in May 2026, but a new “Curious Caterer” movie starring Andrew Walker and Nikki DeLoach is not one of them.

A year and a half after the fifth mystery in the franchise premiered, back in October 2024, Walker told Us Weekly in an interview published on May 2 that there are still no concrete plans to bring caterer Goldie Berry and Detective Tom Schultz back for another whodunit. But with a bit of pressure from fans, he said they’re hopeful the franchise can make a comeback.

Andrew Walker Encourages Fans to ‘Message Hallmark’ About Bringing Back ‘Curious Caterer’

In July 2025, Walker exclusively told EntertainmentNow that there were more “Curious Caterer” movies ahead for him and DeLoach, whom he jokingly calls his “work wife.”

“We will be doing more ‘Curious Caterers,’” Walker confirmed at the time. “I can definitively say we will be doing more. I’ve been told by trusted sources. It’ll be next year, though.”

But when he spoke with Us Weekly, he was less certain, telling the outlet, “I wish there were updates on the ‘Curious Caterer.’ Message Hallmark and go to the chat groups and tell them how much you’re missing ‘Curious Caterer.'”

The franchise started in 2022 with “Dying For Chocolate,” which is now available to watch for free on YouTube. The mysteries follow caterer Goldy as she stumbles upon unsolved murders in her small town and helps Walker’s character solve the cases. By the end of the last movie, “Forbidden Fruit,” their characters had also developed feelings for each other and shared their first kiss.

Andrew Walker Says New ‘Curious Caterer’ Scripts Are Already Written

“I’ve been told that we might get some more episodes back,” Walker told Us Weekly. “So we’re ready to go. Scripts are written.”

Walker even knows where those scripts would take the “Curious Caterer” franchise, including more of the blossoming romance between Goldy and Tom, and storylines featuring supporting characters, like Goldy’s best friend Marla Maguire (played by Jaycie Dotin) and Tom’s deputy, Mason (played by Riley Davis).

“It really is now about what are the individual characters around (Goldy and Tom) and their peripheral doing? And where do they come from, and what are their hobbies and fun things they like to do? Walker explained. “Because they’re so developed, those characters, even though they’re not in it as much as Tom and Goldy are. But I think there’s just a lot of fun opportunities there.”

After premiering his latest Hallmark movie on May 2,“Kentucky Roses,” Walker told Us Weekly his schedule is wide open, so he’d love to get back to filming “Curious Caterer.”

Meanwhile, Hallmark fans who are missing what used to be a robust schedule of cozy mysteries can get their fill in May. On May 16, Alison Sweeney and Victor Webster continue the beloved “Hannah Swensen Mysteries” franchise with “Best Served Cold: A Hannah Swensen Mystery.”

The following Saturday, May 23, DeLoach will appear in the second “True Justice” movie, “Eye For an Eye,” which will finally be released more than a year after the cast filmed it.

Then on May 30, Tamera Mowry-Housely’s Ireland-based mystery franchise returns with “‘Haunted Harmony Mysteries: Key to the Castle.”

  4. I hope they bring it back. I am quickly losing my interest in watching Hallmark cause they keep taking away all the mystery series.

  5. This is what Hallmark does. A good series that leaves you hanging. Remember Mystery 101? The teaser never to be completed? There are so many they start and stop and many months later try to pick them up again. I realize the talent goes on to perform other things, but either decide it will be a series of XX number of episodes or just make it a complete film!

  6. I seem to recall that Hallmark changed upper management in early 2025 and that is when episodes 6 & 7 of the Curious Caterer were supposed to be shot and released in the Fall of 2025 – but obviously New Management had different ideas – make money not fans so Nikki and Andrew were split up to do a dozen different projects – none of which came close to one Curious Caterer episode but put together made more money – so if people want to know why the best mystery series was stopped – follow the money and Hallmark greed Trumped Fan entertainment

  8. I keep looking for a reason to come back Hallmark but seen one yet. All these new actors and movies are passable but nowhere near the level of the old ones. O start watching one and end up turning it off. Bring back the old mystery series, Curious Cateret, Hannah Swensen, Hailey Dean, Mystery 101, Aurora Teagarden, Family Practice, Crossword Mysteries

  9. Please continue the wonderful Hallmark mysteries series “Curious Caterer”! Andrew Walker and Nikki DeLoach are a fantastic duo and this series is my favorite and very popular with viewers. I always look forward to watching CC even if it’s on repeat. This is one of the very best mysteries series written for Hallmark, and it would be a great pleasure to see it continue!

  10. Okay Hallmark, you are bringing back “Mistletoe Murders!” Why can’t you bring back
Hallmark! I know you have made a lot of changes in new programming, but do you have any idea how boring old TV series are after the umpteenth time you show them! Is it possible you are trying to get rid of the Myteries Channel? Bring back Curious Caterers! You have scripts and you have the stars! Yes they have to be produced and actors have to be paid, but people will love new shows! What you have done to the HALLMARK CHANNEL is terribly sad too! Can you honestly say that the programing of movies is not the same every couple of weeks! Oh yes, you do throw in the new movies every week, plus having them on Hallmark Plus the next day! I get all your channels, even Hallmark Plus and, Hallmark Family. The 2025 Christmas was more repeats and fewer new movies. It was a disappointment! Great American Family shows Hallmark Movies! I hope you have a plan to change these things. Though people won’t like it, are you trying to just have Hallmark+ so we have to subscribe to watch certain things? can I say that I have watched for years and things just get worse! I love Hope Valley1874! Everything about it is wonderful, writing actors, location! What a winner! ” I’ll be Seeing You” was very good! I know you can continue to entertain us, but we love mysteries and we love Hope Valley, and we love Christmas Movies! Please consider what the people are asking for!

    • I agree. The Christmas movies this year were not as good as in the past. A lot of the leads just did not gel. I also would rather they cancel The Hannah Swenson mysteries, as they have gotten over the top silly, and keep Curious Caterers and bring back the couple who were amateur sleuths-the Candy Cane Lane mysteries?? I cannot remember the name but Paul Campbell was the husband. Also, make a 2 hour movie and clear up Mystery 101!!!!!

  11. Makes sense Hallmark would not bring it back since everyone loves it, that’s what they did with Mystery 101….. that seems to be a pattern with them. 🙄 It’s disappointing for sure. Hopefully whoever the decision maker is with this series will read the comments.

  12. Just like many other comments, I want to see Curious Caterer movies back. Can’t understand why most favorite of our mysteries series are no longer on. Besides CC, Mystery101 etc. I love the Hallmark Channel but showing the same reruns over and over and over is getting to be more than a little redundant. Seems you are ignoring what Hallmark Channel watchers want.

  13. Please bring back Curious Caterer! Nicki and Andrew are dynamite together! Don’t do to them what you did to Mystery 101.
We need new episodes of all the mystery series. Seeing the same movies constantly leads to boredom and other networks!
