Two years after proposing to his longtime love, Hallmark star Jake Foy is a married man! On September 28, 2025, Foy shared multiple Instagram Stories to confirm he had married Nicolas La Traverse the previous afternoon in Montreal, Quebec.
Foy, 34, shared a friend’s photo of the wedding program, which revealed that the couple married on September 27 at 1 p.m. at The Church of St. Andrew and St. Paul. Another photo shared in Foy’s Instagram Stories, showed the crowd gathered outside the beautiful Presbyterian cathedral, built in 1932.

Foy — who has starred in Hallmark series “Ride” and “The Chicken Sisters,” as well as rom-coms including 2025’s “The Wish Swap” — shared other friends’ photos and videos in his Instagram Stories, including one of an attendee posing outside the church with the happy couple, both dressed in black tuxes, with their pup wearing a coordinating scarf.
Between the ceremony and reception, the couple changed into matching tuxes at the Ritz-Carlton, per Foy’s Stories, with cream tuxedo jackets, black bow ties, and black pants. Foy shared a photo showing La Traverse as he finished getting ready, along with several architectural pics from the Ritz-Carlton.
The couple celebrated their nuptials with a luxurious, evening dinner cruise hosted aboard a Le Beateau Mouche vessel. Foy shared photos of the exquisite dinner tables under domed glass windows, and a video of guests dancing, over which he sarcastically wrote “No fun was had.”
Foy also shared a video in his Stories that was posted by a friend, which showed him and La Traverse beaming at their reception, and another that showed them hugging during speeches, with La Traverse wiping his eyes.

The wedding has been a long time coming for Foy and La Traverse, who shared in a May post that they’d finally set a date, September 27.
The two met, Foy shared in a 2023 Instagram post, while the actor was making ends meet by working as a waiter in Vancouver. La Traverse was seated at one of Foy’s tables — number 11, he pointed out — and the rest is history.
La Traverse, who runs his own production and social media management agency, and Foy first went Instagram official with their relationship in May 2017 and have shared many milestones as a couple. They adopted a puppy named Daisy in August 2021 and celebrated buying their first house together in December 2022.
Foy proposed in May 2023 on the picturesque shore of Two Jack Lake in Banff National Park and shared engagement photos on Instagram.
