After a four-year hiatus, beloved Hallmark star Jen Lilley is returning to the network. Lilley left Hallmark for an exclusive deal with Great American Family, but now she’s back on Hallmark in “A Royal Setting”. The actress has revealed why Hallmark’s return movie “A Royal Setting” was extra special for her.
Jen Lilley Gets Real About Her People
To promote “A Royal Setting,” Lilley used Instagram to reveal why the movie was more than just her return to Hallmark. It turns out Lilley worked with some people she adores who she has worked with more than once.
“Why A Royal Setting Feels Different,” she wrote on the first slide featuring a picture of her with her co-star, Dan Jeannotte, to kick off a carousel of photos. One of the reasons the film was special for Lilley was that it marked her second time working with Jeannotte.
The actor isn’t the only one who landed on Lilley’s list of reasons the movie was different. It was her sixth time working with producer Amy Krell, who Lilley declared she has “learned more from her than anyone in the business.”
Lilley’s post featured several other people, including DP Johnathan Yapp, producer David Anselmo, her stylist, and the director, whom the actress has been blessed to work with on more than one occasion. They all got special shout-outs from Lilley.
She also poked fun at being short and gave mad props to her stand in, Lana, whose friendship Lilley deeply treasures. It was quite a joy for Lilley to be working with so many people she adores.
“Some movies you make. Some movies you come home to. 👑 A Royal Setting felt like coming home — and it’s because of these people,” she stated in part of her caption.
‘A Royal Setting’ Behind the Scenes Fun
The beloved actress has also given Hallmark fans a look at what happened during filming of “A Royal Setting”. A good time was had by all in the video Lilley posted from the set.
In a footage set to “Summer” by Calvin Harris, Lilley gave a look at the production team, her in make-up, different sets, and so many smiles from the cast. Lilly even included a little dance scene in the make-up trailer to highlight the on-set mood.
“This set, this cast, this story. 💎 So excited for you to see A Royal Setting,” the former “Days of Our Lives” star shared as part of her caption.
The wait for “A Royal Setting” is almost over. It premieres on Saturday, March 28, at 8/7c on Hallmark.

We know why she left Hallmark why did she leave GAF? She certainly praised them when she went there.
