Just days after announcing her new series for Hallmark+, Lacey Chabert is on the road. Chabert will star in the upcoming limited series based on the Jenn McKinlay book “Paris Is Always a Good Idea.” Now, Chabert teased via social media that she’s now actually in Paris.
Lacey Chabert Is Already in Paris, France Working
In an Instagram Story posted by Chabert on March 9, the Hallmark star filmed a short video as she rode in a car. She wrote, “The drive to work this morning. Bonjour, Paris!” It appeared that she was driving past the Arc de Triomphe, a monument in Paris that is a popular tourist attraction.
In her initial Instagram Story, Chabert didn’t specify that she was in Paris for work related to the new series. An additional Instagram Story she posted hours later, however, did.
“Another dreamy commute to work. Very thankful,” Chabert captioned another video that showed her in a car traveling through a tunnel. As the vehicle exited the tunnel, the Eiffel Tower could be spotted not far away. Chabert tagged the Instagram page for Hallmark+ in the caption.
The announcement from Chabert and Hallmark+ didn’t include a specific premiere date. However, it was teased that “Paris Is Always a Good Idea” would debut later this year.
The series also stars Scott Michael Foster, “Hannah Swensen Mysteries” star Barbara Niven, Rebecca Hanssen, and Henry Czerny. So far, it doesn’t appear any of them have posted anything on social media about traveling to Paris, yet.
Hallmark shared that filming would take place in both Paris and Spain. Chabert is an executive producer on the project, so it’s understandable that she would travel to Paris in relation to the series ahead of other cast members.
Author Jenn McKinlay Is Tickled Chabert Is Starring in the Series
After Hallmark and Chabert announced the upcoming series, McKinlay reshared it on her Instagram page. She wrote, “I could not be more thrilled to have @thereallacey play Chelsea in the upcoming @hallmarkplus series based on my novel PARIS IS ALWAYS A GOOD IDEA.”
McKinlay then gushed, “Wait…is this actually happening….? *Jenn faints*”
Chabert commented on McKinlay’s post, writing, “I’m thrilled to be a part of telling this very special story.”
Travis Van Winkle, who co-stars with Chabert in a Disney-theme Christmas movie in the upcoming holiday season, commented simply, “Yes!!!”
Someone else noted, “So glad it’s a series. So much fun content in the book. Glad it will all get plenty of time.”
