Hallmark is launching a new series starring Lacey Chabert, and fans are already buzzing about it.
A limited series based on the Jenn McKinlay book “Paris Is Always a Good Idea” is heading to the network’s streaming platform, Hallmark+, later in 2026.
Lacey Chabert Will Film the Hallmark+ Show in France & Spain
On March 3, People shared the details on the upcoming series featuring Chabert. The series will film in Paris, France, as well as in Spain.
Scott Michael Foster will co-star with Chabert, along with Hallmark’s “Hannah Swensen Mysteries” star Barbara Niven. The cast also includes Rebecca Hanssen and Henry Czerny.
The series will consist of six episodes, and Chabert plays the book’s main character, Chelsea Martin. Foster portrays Chelsea’s “confident rival-turned-ally.”
Foster is not an entirely new face to Hallmark fans. Most recently, he starred in the 2025 movie “Return to Office” with Janel Parrish. In addition, he appeared in both the 2021 movie “Love, for Real,” and the 2019 movie “In the Key of Love.”
For the upcoming “Paris Is Always a Good Idea,” Chelsea is described as a “career-driven nonprofit executive” who travels to Paris with Foster’s character, Jason Knightly, to “secure a major donation.”
However, a “heartfelt message from her late mother – and a loving push from her sister Annabelle (Hanssen) – sends her on an unexpected journey to reconnect with the three great loves she once left behind.”
During her journey, “Chelsea retraces old footsteps and discovers that sometimes moving forward means first looking back.”
Michelle Vicary, Head of Programming for Hallmark Media, shared, “We can’t wait for viewers to come along on Chelsea’s journey of self-discovery, healing and – of course – unforgettable romance.”
Vicary added, “We know Lacey will bring a warmth and authenticity that will draw viewers into Chelsea’s world as she goes down this exciting path that ultimately leads her to the love she didn’t know she was looking for.”
Hallmark Fans Are Excited About Chabert’s New Series
GettyAn Instagram post shared on the Hallmark+ page also teased the upcoming series. The short video featured Chabert, who was holding a paperback copy of “Paris Is Always a Good Idea.”
Within minutes of the post going live, the comment section was flooded with responses from Hallmark fans celebrating the news.
One fan wrote, “Can’t wait your Hallmark movies are ALWAYS the best!!”
“I loved this book, can’t wait for you and the series on Hallmark,” raved another fan.
Someone else added, “SERIES?! Well that’s big news!”
The news of Chabert’s new Hallmark+ limited series comes on the heels of big news on another network project. Chabert is starring in the first-ever movie collaboration with Disney World, and the cast recently celebrated the end of filming.
“Holiday Ever After: A Disney World Wish Come True,” starring Chabert and Travis Van Winkle, premieres during Hallmark’s 2026 “Countdown to Christmas.”

Can’t wait for this series! With Lacey Chabert, I know it will be great!
Anything with Lacey Chabert will Definitely be a HIT. She’s an Amazing Actress.
Always looking to see if Lacey Chabert is on Hallmark. I guess now I have to get Hallmark +. Very happy for her.
As much as I love Lacey and all the other Hallmark stars, I’m disappointed in Hallmark sending so much to Hallmark +. I’m retired on a fixed income and already pay for cable. Can’t afford any more, so good luck with the new series, but I won’t be watching.
