Love is definitely in the air; and this time, it comes with a seaplane, a surprise proposal, and a whole lot of Hallmark heart. Robbie Simpson, who fans met on Hallmark’s reality competition series “Finding Mr. Christmas,” just shared some major relationship news, and yep, it seems like everyone from the Hallmark family showed up to celebrate.
From sweet reactions in the comments to an absolutely swoon-worthy proposal story, this moment has all the cozy rom-com energy fans could hope for.
The Proposal That Had Fans Swooning
In a joint Instagram post (seen above) shared Wednesday, February 18, 2026, Simpson revealed he had proposed to his then boyfriend, Kyle Pollak. The caption kept it simple and joyful: “He said YES!” He also noted that the couple partnered with People for an exclusive reveal.
Simpson, 36, completely surprised Pollak, 30, during what Pollak believed was just a scenic outing in Australia. The couple took a seaplane ride over the Sydney coastline; which, let’s be real, already sounds like the opening scene of a Hallmark movie.
Simpson explained why the location mattered, telling People, “The moment I arrived in Australia, I knew this was the place… It’s magical, beautiful and exotic in all the right ways.”
Pollak added his own heartfelt perspective: “My life and relationship with Robbie is far from ordinary… We go on the most wonderful adventures together, and it was fitting that we commit to a life together before taking off in a seaplane for lunch at a secluded waterfront restaurant.”
Honestly? We’re here for the romance.
From Hallmark Hopeful to Happily Engaged
Hallmark“Finding Mr. Christmas” Season 2 aired from October through December 2025 and per the show’s synopsis, “followed 10 hopeful Hallmark ‘hunks’ living together and competing for the lead role in a future holiday movie.” The series was hosted by fan favorite Jonathan Bennett, with Melissa Peterman serving as Lead Judge alongside rotating guest judges.
Simpson made a strong impression during his run. Despite multiple wins in the “Star Quality” challenges, he was ultimately eliminated in Episode 5 after his performance in an acting challenge, with guest judge (and Hallmark star) Hunter King, wasn’t inventive enough .
Still, Simpson’s time in the Hallmark universe clearly left a lasting mark. Before the show, he had already built a steady résumé, appearing in the 2012 TV movie “Can You Survive a Horror Movie?,” the 2016 series The Path, and several episodes of soap opera, “General Hospital” in 2022. As his “Finding Mr. Christmas” season aired, he also popped up on the Girls Gone Hallmark podcast to talk about the experience.
Now, though, fans have a much bigger milestone to celebrate.
Hallmark Stars Rush to Celebrate
HallmarkIf there were any doubts about Simpson’s Hallmark family status, the comment section quickly cleared that up. Familiar names flooded the post with love, excitement, and plenty of heart emojis.
Jonathan Bennett kept it simple but heartfelt, dropping “❤️❤️❤️❤️,” to which Simpson replied, “thank you so much my friend. I owe so much to you. Can’t wait to see you in a couple weeks! xx.”
Bennett’s husband, Jaymes Vaughan, also joined the celebration, writing, “CONGRATULATIONS!!! ❤️❤️❤️”
“The Christmas Baby” star, Ali Liebert, chimed in with an enthusiastic, “Omgggg yes!!!”

It seems like this engagement didn’t just win over fans; it rallied the whole Hallmark crew. And between the surprise seaplane proposal and the flood of love in the comments, this story already feels like it could be the plot of next year’s holiday movie.
