First Trailer Drops for Tyler Hynes Fan Documentary (VIDEO)

Although Super Bowl LX and Bad Bunny’s Halftime Show dominated the news cycle on February 8, 2026, Tyler Hynes’ fans were buzzing about another big piece of news in their world. The team behind #Hynies, a documentary currently in production about the Hallmark superstar’s devoted fandom, dropped the film’s first trailer on Super Bowl Sunday.

Fans gushed about the sneak peek and the community they’ve built, and Hynes was quick to praise the project, which will be narrated by his close friend and fellow Hallmark star Jonathan Bennett.

Tyler Hynes is ‘Grateful’ & Looking Forward to New Documentary

Documentarian Jen Silliman is leading the effort behind the movie, pulling together a team of creatives who’ve been filming interviews and interactions with some of Hynes’ biggest fans. She’s seen in the opening moments of the trailer, during an interview filmed last summer at the Christmas in a Small Town fan event, when she informed Hynes she wanted to produce a documentary on his fandom.

“I’d watch that documentary,” he said at the time. And as the trailer dropped on social media, the “Three Wisest Men” star made it clear he’s still a big fan of the project.

In the comment section on Instagram, Hynes wrote, “🤍🍑 simply beautiful ✨ grateful I get to watch this creativity unfold with the rest of you. I get the privilege to watch YOUR movie for a change 😊”

Hynes also shared the trailer in his Instagram Stories and similarly noted, “Grateful to watch you all tell your story. 🙂 Watching YOUR movie will be a nice change. 😊 … 🤍🍑4 life.”

Fans Say Tyler Hynes Has Inspired the Kindhearted Community That Adores Him

Silliman and her team hope to capture the special bonds Hynies around the globe have established, taking a cue from Hynes’ consistently kind, community-building posts, events and merchandise.

Among the items sold in the actor’s online shop are a Hynies bracelet with a magnetic heart charm that fans love to connect and photograph when they meet in person. There’s also a collection of boot-shaped shot glasses for Hynes’ Boot Shot Tradition, which he launched several years ago, giving fans a chance to toast one another during online and at in-person get togethers. All three editions have sold out each holiday season.

In the #Hynies trailer, one fan declares that she could find a fellow Hynie “anywhere in the world at this point” and another beams, “It really comes back to Tyler and the person that he is. He truly is one of the most amazing souls.”

But in addition to capturing the unique camaraderie among Hynies and how the actor has inspired such a kindhearted community, the #Hynies production team will also explore the hardship some have experienced after being targeted by imposters posing as Hynes online.

Filming on the #Hynies documentary, slated for a 2027 release, began during the 2025 holiday season, with Silliman and her team capturing footage at multiple events where Hynes was appearing. They’re currently collecting photos for a movie poster and fan stories for a Hynies Storybook that will help raise funds for the film production. Silliman’s production company, Social Butterfly, is also accepting donations from Hynies who want to help fund the project.
