Hallmark Channel superstar Tyler Hynes has countless adoring fans who eagerly await any chance to see him onscreen, on social media, or in-person at events. But the love for Hynes doesn’t stop with Hallmark viewers; the “Christmas Above the Clouds” and “Three Wisest Men” star is also beloved within Hallmark’s tight-knit family of actors.
That was evident over and over during the first weekend of the 2025 Hallmark Christmas Experience (HCE) in Kansas City, where those who’ve worked closely with Hynes — including fellow stars Paul Campbell, Rhiannon Fish, and B.J. Britt — shared stories about how he’s elevated their work and touched their lives.
Paul Campbell & Andrew Walker Embrace Tyler Hynes After Celebrating His Creativity
The panels and games staged during the first weekend of HCE were high on funny stories and physical comedy, so touching moments between the stars stood out — including several involving Hynes. When Campbell, co-star and co-writer of the “Three Wise Men” franchise, hosted the “Look Behind the Lens” panels, he said he wanted to let people know how Hynes had contributed to their trilogy’s success behind the scenes.
After talking about a scene in “The Wisest Men” in which the Brenner brothers are sitting on buckets in the garage, trying to figure out their next steps, Campbell admitted he and fellow screenwriter/star Kimberley Sustad felt like it was “flat.” But Hynes swooped in and saved the day, he said.
“We were really struggling with it, and this happens throughout these movies,” Campbell said as Walker nodded. “This guy shows up and somehow has a way to turn the most benign thing into this incredibly dynamic scene. He changes the blocking, he changes the energy, and he does it over and over and over. Not just with his own material, but he does it with all of us.”
“He has ideas for all of us,” Campbell continued, “and he brings just this incredible creativity and I don’t think we talk about it enough.”
Hallmark“And he brings the pain,” Walker quipped, referencing another conversation in which he said Hynes threw a football on-set that hit him in the eye.
“He brings the pain, and he takes punches like a champion,” Campbell said before inquiring if Hynes wanted to respond. Before he could, Sustad asked, “Did you guys wanna have a hug or something?”
Hynes then got out of his seat to embrace Campbell, and Walker joined them for a group hug, even kissing Hynes on the cheek as the crowd cheered.
“It’s getting weird now, it’s getting weird,” Hynes joked as they went back to their seats.
B.J. Britt Calls Tyler Hynes His ‘Brother From Another Mother’
Hynes also received the sweetest compliments from Britt, who grew close with Hynes and Jonathan Bennett when they filmed “The Groomsmen” trilogy in 2024.
Acknowledging how much fans adore Hynes, whom he was sitting next to on the panel, Britt said, “What you guys all see, I promise you, he’s the exact same way on set.”
Britt, who also stars in the new Christmas movie “Tidings of the Season,” got a bit choked up as he said to Hynes, “My brother from another mother, I love you.”
“I appreciate everything you do for me,” Britt added before the two hugged and the crowd melted over their friendship.
Britt also sang Hynes’ praises to EntertainmentNow weeks before, saying that the actor made “The Groomsmen” shoot “magical” and that he feels forever indebted to Hynes and Bennett for “showing me the ropes” as he became part of the Hallmark family.
“I can’t say enough about them,” Britt gushed. “I couldn’t be more humbled and grateful. I’m proud to be a part of such a beautiful family.”
Rhiannon Fish & Tyler Hynes Sang Each Other’s Praises
HallmarkIn another sweet moment at HCE, Fish credited Hynes for making her feel so comfortable on the set of their 2023 movie, “Picture of Her.”
“Rhiannon has the ability to be very, very present in a scene,” he told the audience, but she interjected, “All you, Tyler — I swear.”
As Hynes tried to deflect her praise, she said, “You don’t believe me, but they all know it,” and Campbell deadpanned, “We all know it.” Sustad then quipped to Hynes, “Nice try.”
But he brushed off their compliments and continued to say of Fish, “She is very incredible to work with. Very present, and Kim has this quality, too. It’s a very rare thing … she has an effervesence to her … behavior and just presence in a scene and the ability to be very connected to what’s happening, while still being very focused, and very fun, and very light. It’s a very rare thing to find, and I was very, very grateful to work with her.”
“We should do another one, Tyler,” Fish said, and as the audience cheered, Sustad chimed in, “Well, I’d like to do a movie with you, as well!”
The crowd burst into applause again, and Robert Buckley dryly quipped, “I’d also like to add my name to that list.”
