HGTV‘s Alison Victoria met the love of her life, Brandt Andersen, in the most unexpected place.
The “Sin City Rehab” star opened up about their chance encounter during a recent podcast appearance, saying she had hit “rock bottom.”

Victoria sat down with LeeAnn Kreischer for the Thursday, April 23, episode of the “Wife of the Party” podcast, where she opened up about hitting rock bottom.
“I was in this relationship for eight years. It was just not for me, but I just kept staying in it and hoping for a different result,” she explained.
Following her final breakup, Victoria attended a seven-day personal-growth retreat where she learned how to break her patterns and dive into her childhood traumas.
“I was like at this breaking point where I’m like the one thing in my life I can’t get right is love. What am I doing wrong?” she said. “And if I don’t fix this now, I’m going to be unhappy. Not that someone else makes you happy, but God, that is a beautiful addition to life.”
She added, “I’m ready. I’m rock bottom. I’m devastated…And I was very lucky because I found the love of my life there.”

The “Windy City Rehab” star explained that her romance with Brandt did not blossom until after after the seven-day process.
“I was not there to meet anyone,” she explained. “In fact, at the Hoffman process, if you have feelings for people or anyone in there, you have to go talk — They say it, ‘If you have feelings for anybody while you’re here, you have to come talk to us because that you’re derailing your process, right?'”
Victoria said she “felt nothing” for Brandt during their time on the retreat. However, they kept in touch after the process and their relationship progressed.
“You picked two buddies to keep in touch with after the process to make sure you’re sticking with it. He was one of them. And we just became so close as friends,” she spilled. “But after talking to him for a while, I fell in love with him. It’s the most beautiful story.”
Alison Victoria Gushes Over Boyfriend Brandt
The “Rock the Block” legend gushed over her boyfriend in an October 2025 Instagram post, calling him the love of her life.
“When I say partner — I’ve never used that word before in my life,” she said in the video posted on October 30. “But, he’s truly my partner. We’ve been together almost three years. We actually met at a mental health retreat, and we became fast friends. I do believe that that is the foundation to a real long-lasting partnership, is a friendship first, because that’s really where it grew from.”
Late last month, rumors began swirling that Victoria and Andersen were engaged after fans spotted a ring on her left hand.
“Weekend rewind,” she captioned a March 30 Instagram photo dump. In the final photo in her slideshow, a diamond ring was seen on her finger as she smiled for a mirror selfie at the hair salon.
The designer has yet to address engagement rumors.
