Brian & Mika Kleinschmidt Bring Back ‘100 Day Dream Home’

Brian and Mika Kleinschmidt are bringing “100 Day Dream Home” back!

A new season of “100 Day Dream Home” is set to debut on HGTV on Tuesday, September 16.

In an Instagram video teasing the season, Brian says, “We’re taking on projects we’ve never done before.”

The video reveals that the couple will take on clients devastated by last year’s hurricanes, and take on the challenge of building in new ways that create homes better able to weather the storm.

“We love the punishment,” Brian says in the video. “We love the reward,” Mika counters. “That’s true, that’s true,” agrees Brian.

Brian & Mika Say They Are Grateful to Get Another Season

In a year when HGTV has canceled a lot of shows including “Bargain Block,” “Christina on the Coast,” “The Flipping El Moussas,” “Married to Real Estate,” “Izzy Does It,” “Farmhouse Fixer,” and “Battle on the Beach,” Brian and Mika Kleinschmidt are expressing gratitude that they get another season.

In an Instagram post in July, Brian put up a video of he and wife Mika’s audition video for HGTV. He wrote, “Cannot believe it was 8 years ago that we shot this homemade audition video. 🤯

This is where it all began…

2 young dreamers with 2 shovels, a cell phone and a ladder. 🪏📱🪜

Did you know our original show title was “Breaking Ground”? 🤔

We wouldn’t be where we are today without each and every one of you watching, supporting and believing in us. 🙌

Can never thank you enough for helping turn this backyard dream into a big screen reality. 🙏”

Audition Tape Shows Mika & Brian Pitching Show Called ‘Breaking Ground’

The “100 Day Dream Home” hosts have come a long way since they shot their audition tape with a cell phone propped up on a ladder eight years ago.

At the time, the show they pitched was titled “Breaking Ground.” It later became “100 Day Dream Home.”

In fact, Brian’s Instagram handle is “Mr. Breaking Ground.”

The pair have been busy posting sneak peeks of the filming of season seven of “100 Day Dream Home” on their Instagram accounts.

And fans are expressing relief that the show survived HGTV’s cuts.

One commented, “Thank GODDD y’all are still on HGTV. Can’t wait to watch!! ❤️🔥🙏🏾”

Another wrote, “So excited to see you and Mika again ❤”

And another commented, “Look forward to new season I’m a St Pete resident dealing with renovating a flooded condo it was a tough year last year so great you are helping locals”

You can catch the debut of the brand new season of “100 Day Dream Home” on HGTV Tuesday, September 16 at 8:00p.m. ET.
