On May 29, Roth took to Instagram to share an all-to-real look at having young kids.
“Instagram vs Reality. They’re just so sad!! 🥲🥲 Is this how they actually feel about another baby on the way or are they just hungry?” she wrote in the caption.
The HGTV star continued, “Tag someone who wants to do a photoshoot with you … ha!
She also extended a note of gratitude to the photographer, writing, “Thanks for the patience (and re-shoot day) @gabriellasantosphotography. Can’t win them all! 😘”
In the video, her daughters Hazel and Darla are seen crying during the photoshoot, with Roth noting in text, “The saddest thing on the internet today.” She runs up to wipe away their tears and it’s clear that a happy photo isn’t in the cards.

Jasmine Roth Announced Her Pregnancy: ‘I Was Completely Shocked’
Roth and her family finally nabbed the perfect pic, which was featured in People magazine.
People shared the exciting news in a May 14 Instagram post, which included the caption: “Jasmine Roth is pregnant again! The HGTV star is expecting her third baby with her husband Brett. Roth, tells PEOPLE that her third pregnancy was a surprise after struggling to conceive her second child, Darla.
“It was the Monday after the Super Bowl, and we’d been busy hosting friends and family all weekend,” she told People in an interview. “I was packing for a big family snowboarding trip to Japan and had this thought that maybe I should take a test before we left — just to be safe.”
Roth continued, “And sure enough, it was positive. The lines were super faint, but they were there. I was completely shocked and instantly emotional.”
The HGTV star explained, “It took us over a year to get pregnant with our second daughter, Darla, and we needed medical intervention, so a spontaneous pregnancy was the last thing I expected. I immediately ran downstairs to tell my husband, and he had the exact same reaction — total disbelief mixed with excitement.”
She added, “Having two kids already, we both know how much adding another baby changes everything, and I’ll never forget that moment of realizing together, ‘Okay … this is really happening.’ There’s nothing else like that feeling.”
