HGTV star Jasmine Roth is getting ready to welcome another daughter, but the nursery still has a little ways to go.
Roth, 41, gave fans a humorous glimpse at the room in an Instagram post shared Friday, Aug. 21.
The home renovation expert appeared to poke fun at herself as she walked toward the space, which is meant to become the nursery for her third daughter.
Fans Couldn’t Get Enough
“Me admiring the nursery for our third daughter due in 2 months….” Roth wrote over the video.
The clip then revealed the current state of the room. Instead of a finished nursery, the space was filled with boxes, toys and various items waiting to be organized.
Fans appreciated Roth’s relatable approach, with several joking that the room looked exactly like the starting point for many nurseries.
“I think every nursery starts this way,” one person wrote.
“LOL Jasmine! You know you’re not a first-time mom when… 😂,” another fan commented.
“Almost ready! Few details here and there… you’ll be fine!” another person added.
Other followers were confident Roth would eventually transform the room into a beautiful space for her baby.
“You will make it BEAUTIFUL!” one fan wrote.
Roth announced in May that she and her husband were expecting their third child. The pregnancy came as a surprise to the couple, particularly because they had previously experienced difficulties conceiving their second daughter, Darla.
She Announced Her Pregnancy in May
“It was the Monday after the Super Bowl, and we’d been busy hosting friends and family all weekend,” Roth told PEOPLE. “I was packing for a big family snowboarding trip to Japan and had this thought that maybe I should take a test before we left — just to be safe.”
“And sure enough, it was positive. The lines were super faint, but they were there. I was completely shocked and instantly emotional,” she recalled.
Roth said she and her husband had not expected another spontaneous pregnancy so soon.
“It took us over a year to get pregnant with our second daughter, Darla, and we needed medical intervention, so a spontaneous pregnancy was the last thing I expected,” she said.
She immediately told her husband, who was equally surprised.
“He had the exact same reaction — total disbelief mixed with excitement,” Roth said.
The couple already shares two daughters, and Roth acknowledged that adding another baby will bring major changes to their family.
“Having two kids already, we both know how much adding another baby changes everything, and I’ll never forget that moment of realizing together, ‘Okay…this is really happening,’” she said. “There’s nothing else like that feeling.”
Roth has also been candid about the challenges of her pregnancy. She said she experienced significant nausea during the first several months, similar to what she experienced during her previous pregnancies.
“The first 12 weeks were very similar to my previous pregnancies — constant nausea, feeling underwater all day long, totally exhausted,” she said. “Reglan was the only thing that really helped.”
She also began paying closer attention to her blood sugar and said making changes to her diet helped her feel better.
“I prioritized protein before anything else — even something simple like parmesan before fruit — and it honestly helped so much,” Roth said.
With about two months remaining until her daughter’s arrival, Roth still has plenty of time to turn the box-filled room into the nursery she envisioned.
