HGTV’s Jenny Marrs Reveals Biggest Home Design Struggle on ‘Fixer to Fabulous’

Jenny Marrs has an eye for design as well as for selecting beautiful antique pieces. The HGTV star opened up about one the most difficult aspects of finding unique antiques — “letting them go.” During the first episode of “Fixer to Fabulous” season 7, she revealed the bittersweet feeling of letting go of a gorgeous hutch.

Jenny Marrs Shares ‘Hardest Parts’ of Finding Beautiful Home Decor

On December 1, Marrs took to Instagram to share a video of her and husband Dave determining which antique piece to use in a homeowner’s kitchen.

“One of the hardest parts of sourcing and selling antique pieces is letting them go,” she wrote in the caption. “Thankfully, this piece went to the perfect home … “

Marrs added, “I CANNOT wait for you all to see tomorrow night’s premiere episode of ‘Fixer to Fabulous’ (season 7)! This is such a special family and story!”

In the video, her husband measures the area and holds up a photo of an antique piece as Marrs envisions it in the space. When he holds up a second photo, they both agree that it suits the kitchen.

“I have two hutches at Marrs on Main, our new store downtown,” she explains in a talking head clip. “And so, I want to see if either one of those will work.”

When she mulls over the second piece, Marrs notes, “It feels like this house, doesn’t it? I love that one.”

She continues, “It’s like one of my actual favorites. And it looks so good in that spot in the store so I sort of hate to sell it, but I also want it to go to a really good home. And this is a really good home, so that makes me happy.”

The HGTV star then wonders if it would be “weird” to call the homeowner and check in on the hutch from time to time.

Dave & Jenny Marrs Rebuild Family’s Home After Tornado Destruction

On the first episode of “Fixer to Fabulous” season 7, the HGTV stars restore a home impacted by devastating tornadoes.

“This video is a flashback to last year and the morning after tornadoes tore through our town,” Marrs shared in an Instagram caption about the episode. “That morning, our family, alongside many others, rolled up our sleeves to help our friends (and Luke’s preschool teacher) after their home took a direct hit.”

Jenny continued, “After a long cleanup and then battle with red tape to get insurance money, it was finally time to restore the Ketner’s home. Dave and I were honored to step in to help. We wanted to not only give them a roof over their heads, but we wanted to ensure it was now a place where they could feel safe and make new, joyful memories together. Their last night in this home was a terrifying one and we wanted to ensure all of their future nights are peaceful and sweet.”

“I cannot wait for you all to see this episode TONIGHT! Season 7 begins,” she added. “I hope you can watch at 8/7c on HGTV 🤍!!”
