“Fixer to Fabulous” star Jenny Marrs received a precious gift from her elderly uncle: an annotated copy of her own book, “Trust God, Love People.”
Jenny Marrs Shares Backstory of Sweet Gift
Marrs, 46, took to social media on Saturday, October 18, sharing an image of her book, which she received from her 89-year-old uncle.
“Last night, my 89-year-old uncle brought me his copy of my book so I could read the notes he wrote in the margins throughout,” Marrs captioned a photo of the book. “He reminisced on his own story as he read and jotted the memories for me (and his kids and grandkids and great-grandkids) to read. I cried this morning reading his words.”
She continued, “This is the power of sharing our story. When we do, others will, as well. Truly, we each have our own unique and beautiful and hard and magical story to share.”
Fans were quick to react to the touching moment, with one follower writing, “I can’t even. How precious and priceless is this! I LOVE this so much for you Jenny!”
“Well I didn’t expect to wake up crying but here we are,” another wrote.
Jenny Marrs’ Uncle Leaves HGTV Star Sweet Note
The image shared by Marrs gives fans a glimpse at the message penned by her proud family member.
“This book was written by my niece Jenny Marrs,” he wrote on the title page. “As I read this book between the tears and joy, how our lives have been the same in so many ways.”
He added, “The love between Dave and Jenny, I can relate to.”
Marrs’ aunt sadly “went to heaven” in April 2023, joining the HGTV star’s cousin Greg.
“We are married to this day 69 years,” her uncle wrote. “The love of my life.”
Jenny and Dave Marrs Have a Long, Happy Marriage
Marrs and her husband, Dave Marrs, seem to be following in her aunt and uncle’s footsteps in terms of a long, happy marriage.
The reality TV duo first met in 2002, while working for the same company.
“We built log cabins in Colorado – my dad and I did,” Dave told “About You” magazine in 2018. “I thought I didn’t want to build anymore. So, I did the corporate world for two years, which was enough. It allowed me to meet Jenny.”
They would go on to tie the knot three years later, in 2005, and have since welcomed five children together: sons Nathan, Ben and Luke, and daughters Sylvie and Charlotte.
