Dave and Jenny Marrs make a great team, but working with your spouse isn’t always easy. Jenny shared a look at the HGTV couple renovating a home and not exactly seeing eye-to-eye. Having a great understanding of each other and a sense of humor definitely goes a long way though.
Jenny Marrs Shares Look at Working With Husband Dave on ‘Fixer to Fabulous’
On February 23, Jenny shared a clip from their HGTV series “Fixer to Fabulous,” in which they debate the placement of a bookshelf.
“What it’s really like to work with your spouse: unfiltered honesty. 😆 Dave knows if I’m hangry or, even worse, when I have what we affectionately call the ‘after lunchies,’ I just need to get straight to the point,” she explained in the caption. “Ha!”
Jenny added, “And, the bookshelf turned out perfectly, after all. 🥰”
In the clip, Jenny has an issue with an off-center bookshelf, with Dave noting, “It’s a built-in cabinet. I’m just not sure how easy it’ll be to move it.”
When he offers another option, Jenny seems set on finding a better solution. “That’s terrible … no offense,” she tells him.
Dave appears to call her out, asking if Jenny thinks her “reactions are a little exaggerated” sometimes.
“No, your idea was terrible,” she tells him. “You’re trying to cover up the fact that it was a terrible idea.”
“It wasn’t an idea. It was an option,” he responds.
Jenny cuts to the possible root of the problem, telling him, “I’m tired. I ate lunch and I’m really full, this doesn’t look right … “
“Full, gassy, and tired,” Dave says with a grin.
Jenny admits with a laugh, “I ate Brussels sprouts. I’m really bloated.”
Dave jokes that Jenny’s situation is “a ticking time bomb.”
