Joanna Gaines has another exciting project on the horizon that should delight fans. The former HGTV star shared the announcement that she’s partnered with a publisher to release new cookbooks and an interior design book.
Joanna Gaines to Release New Cookbooks & Interior Design Book
On August 11, Gaines took to Instagram to share a post announcing her latest career endeavor.
The post from Voracious Books noted in the caption, “Some very exciting news!”
A press release explained all of the details. “Voracious, an imprint of Little, Brown for illustrated books, is partnering with former HGTV star and author Joanna Gaines on several new books about interior design and cooking, beginning with an untitled interior design title scheduled to publish in fall 2027. Michael Szczerban, VP and publisher of Voracious, acquired world rights from Byrd Leavell at United Talent Agency, per an announcement,” the release shared.
Gaines is no stranger to the book business, having authored several cookbooks, children’s books, and a memoir, with titles including “The Magnolia Story,” “Magnolia Table: A Collection of Recipes for Gathering,” “Magnolia Table, Volume 2,” “Magnolia Table, Volume 3,” and “The Stories We Tell: Every Piece of Your Story Matters.”
The announcement shared, “In 2022, she teamed with HarperCollins to create a Magnolia publishing imprint. Gaines’s titles have sold more than 12.5 million copies over the past 10 years, according to Little, Brown.”
“In the new partnership, Little, Brown will be publishing Gaines’ first interior design book since ‘Homebody,’ followed by two cookbooks, titles and release dates TBA,” the release noted. “The new design title will take readers through the ‘evolution of Gaines’s own home to demonstrate how her process can help readers bring their own spaces to life — regardless of size, style, or budget,’ per the publisher.”
Szczerban shared, “Joanna Gaines has helped millions of families live more intentional, thoughtful, and satisfying lives by showing us the powerful possibilities within our homes and at our family tables. From insight into helping your home evolve alongside your needs to collections of can’t-miss favorite recipes, these new books will provide inspiration and tools to achieve your most excellent life.”
Gaines explained, “More than ever, I believe there’s a real thirst for enduring inspiration when it comes to our homes and our dinner tables. I believe people are hungry for ways to create deeper threads of connection in the lives of their families and friends.”
“Books offer us a chance to be nourished. They give us something to wrap our hands around, a moment to slow down and savor beauty and knowledge in a way that few things can,” she added.
Joanna Gaines Shows Off Baking Talents
In an August 8 Instagram post, Gaines showed the process of baking cinammon rolls and asked fans for their favorite tips.
“Messing with new variations and recipes on one of my favorite foods — the cinnamon roll!” she wrote in the caption.
“What’s your favorite texture and technique? Chewy, moist, pillowy and soft, dense and filling? Yeast, sourdough, laminated etc … Help me come up with more adjectives 🤣,” she added.
Fans offered up plenty of ideas, with one noting, “Pouring heavy cream over them before baking was a game changer ❤️.”
“Buttery, soft dough with a thick layer of cinnamon filling,” another fan shared.
One fan noted, “The dough needs to be butter soft with a good amount of cinnamon, BUT it must be cream cheese frosting.”
Others shared, “Pillowy and soft, for sure. With a gooey middle” and “Flaky on the outside and velvety soft inside. I love a good orange zest cinnamon roll!”
