Joanna Gaines’ son Crew, 7, is well on his way to the PGA Tour!
The HGTV star shared an adorable Instagram video of her and husband Chip Gaines’ youngest son, Crew, as he practiced his golf skills in the backyard. Joanna trailed behind him as he chipped away at the ball.
The “Fixer Upper” host captioned her post, touting her son’s golf swing. “Pretending to be at the @themasters today ⛳️ 🏌️♂️,” Joanna wrote.

Fans and friends shared how impressed they were with Crew’s golf swing. Some also quipped about his outfit, which might not have been fit for the course, as he sported a pair of trendy mid-calf cowboy boots.
Trugreen, the official lawn repair for the PGA Tour and MLB, commented on Joanna’s post in support of Crew’s sport of choice, writing, “championship Sunday activities.”
“It’s the boots for me 🙌,” wrote another.
“perfect place to practice 💚,” said a third.

Joanna and Chip have five children together. Crew’s older siblings include Drake, 21; Ella, 19; Duke, 17; and Emmie, 16. In a previous interview with People, Joanna shared that she and her husband work to instill kindness in each of their kids’ lives. Whether it’s teaching them how to express themselves or leading by example, the HGTV couple is clear about their family values.
“Every day we try to teach our own kids to be kind to themselves, to each other, to neighbors and especially to those who look like they are alone,” Joanna told People.
Although Crew is much younger than his siblings, the Magnolia entrepreneur told People shortly after she gave birth to Crew that he’s a big reason for their family to remain present together.
“I think it’s sweet because they’re older now, and I can see them wanting to be a part of this,” she said. “We’re all rallying around this baby, which I feel is a sweet gift to our family.”
After Crew was born, Joanna took time to share a photo of herself with Crew in the delivery room. The HGTV star captioned the Instagram post by sharing that his birth date was “unexpected” — but smooth, nonetheless.
“Our baby boy, Crew Gaines, is here and we couldn’t be more in love. He made an unexpected (and speedy) entrance into the world two and a half weeks early – which is fitting given he was a sweet surprise from day one,” Joanna wrote. “Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers. We are so grateful.”
