Jonathan Knight Spotted Filming ‘New HGTV Show’ After Shocking ‘Farmhouse Fixer’ Cancellation (VIDEO)

Nine months after Jonathan Knight confirmed that his HGTV show, “Farmhouse Fixer,” was among the numerous series cancelled by the network in the first half of 2025, it appears the New Kids on the Block icon may be staging a comeback.

In late February 2026, Knight revealed on a Las Vegas-based podcast that he had filmed a pilot for a possible new HGTV series last fall. Weeks later, on March 17, a video was posted on social media of Knight, 57, filming a segment for his new show.

Jonathan Knight Was a Bit Flustered Talking About New HGTV Show

On February 22, Knight appeared on the “Vegas Revealed” podcast to talk about NKOTB’s Las Vegas residency, with new dates this summer and fall.

At the end of the conversation, the hosts squeezed in a question about whether Knight hoped to return to TV anytime soon. The singer and renovation expert laughed heartily and seemed a bit flustered by the question.

“Yeah, you know, it’s — maybe,” he finally replied. “I can’t say much right now, but I will tease it that I did a pilot this past fall for HGTV and we’re…we’re working it out. Yeah.”

Fans were thrilled by his update, sharing their excitement on Instagram and Facebook, including someone who wrote, “It will be the smartest move HGTV could make by bringing Jonathan Knight back!” Another fan chimed in, “This is a good man. Can’t wait till he’s back on tv”

New Video Shows Jonathan Knight Filming

Nearly a month later, on March 17, Knight was seen in an Instagram post shared by a family involved in a recent film shoot with him. The video’s caption said, “So much fun being extras for Jonathan’s new HGTV show 💖 He is seriously the nicest guy, fun to see how behind the scenes work!”

The post began with a selfie Knight took with one of the family members, and then a video of him filming dialogue with a woman who was seemingly shopping for home decor.

While there are no details yet on a name or theme of the show, nor whether his former co-star, designer Kristina Crestin, is involved. Knight did propose headlining a gardening show shortly after he revealed that “Farmhouse Fixer” had been cancelled after three seasons.

Fans were shocked by the star’s social media announcement on June 25, when he posted a photo of himself with Crestin and wrote, “A lot of you have been asking about the future of Farmhouse Fixer. I am sad to say HGTV has decided not to move forward with another season.”

He continued, “While I’m still processing the reasons that led to their decision, Kristina and I are so grateful for all your support over the past 3 seasons. Television has been so incredibly fun for us. We are so proud of what we created together and look forward to sharing what’s next for us.”

  1. I cancelled my HGTV cable subscription and my HGTV magazine subscription when they cancelled Farmhouse Fixer and Married to Real Estate. If you look at the shows they cancelled, they all fit in the DEI category so I guess HGTV wanted to let Trump know they listened to him.
Problem is the viewers never cared about DEI they cared about the shows because these people were good and cared about their renovations, their clients, and their fan base.
