Jonathan Scott Announces ‘Property Brothers: High-Tech’
On April 1, Jonathan took to Instagram with a funny video announcing a new “Property Brothers” spinoff.
The announcement initially didn’t seem all that surprising since the Property Brothers are always launching new shows, but fans quickly caught on to Jonathan’s April Fools’ Day prank.
“You asked … we’ve finally delivered. Property Brothers: High Tech, coming to @HGTV this summer.”
In the video, Jonathan appears alongside a robot co-star instead of Drew.
“I have a really exciting announcement,” Jonathan teases. “I can barely stop … from laughing.”
He continues, “We are launching a brand new show with a brand new co-host. Please meet our friend, Rob, short for robot.”
“And the show is ‘Property Brothers: High-Tech,'” he adds.
Rob shares, “This is so exciting for me. Glad to finally meet you.”
Jonathan explains, “Rob has crazy, crazy skills. He’s one of the most advanced humanoid robots available.”
Rob adds, “I have watched every single episode of ‘Property Brothers’ to train for this mission.”
The HGTV star notes, “Not bad. I mean … better looking than Drew.”
The robot tells Jonathan, “Brother, we don’t need Drew anymore.”
Jonathan adds, “The show is all about saving you money so you can spend the money on the stuff that you want to spend money on — like cool technology.”
Rob also shows off some of his skills, including his natural talent for doing the robot dance.

“Property Brothers” fans were quick to pick up on Jonathan’s prank for April Fools’ Day, having a laugh in the comments section of his post.
