HGTV‘s “Property Brothers” star Jonathan Scott is ready to welcome a new year, but before he does, he is taking a look back at everything he values the most and the lessons he learned in 2025.

On New Year’s Eve, Scott posted several photos on Instagram, highlighting his year. This included a photo of himself and Zooey Deschanel embracing, a picture of himself and his brother Drew Scott, and other happy family and relationship moments. In the caption, he shared his thoughts, writing, “If I learned anything this year, it’s that time with family is priceless. Grateful for every memory made and the ones ahead.”
The beautiful message has inspired fans, who have shared their thoughts in the post’s comments. “Happy New Year to the whole Scott family!” a comment reads. “Happy New years to you and Zoey @jonathanscott as well as your brother @mrdrewscott @drewandjonathan and all of your family!” another fan shared.

There have also been many comments about Scott and Deschanel’s wedding date, and the pair are currently engaged but are not in a hurry to walk down the aisle. They also have a beautiful blended family, with Scott stepping in as a bonus father to the “New Girl” actress’s children, Elsie Otter and Charlie Wolf.
Deschanel was married to Jacob Pechenik, the father of her children, but they split in 2019. However, they maintain a good coparenting relationship, and Scott and Pechenik get along, creating the best possible outcome for the families. “We socialize, and we’ve been on vacations together, and you know, we’ve been through a lot,” Deschanel said in an interview on Alex Cooper’s “Call Her Daddy” podcast on Wednesday, December 17.
The adults communicate well and have mutual respect, which helps them establish a good relationship. But what about her own relationship with Scott?
In an Instagram post on April 28, 2021, in honor of Scott’s birthday, the actress shared some of the reasons she loves him. “Happy birthday to my kind, sweet, wonderful, hilarious, clever, generous, caring, handsome gentleman who sometimes orders pizza and grilled cheese at one meal,” she wrote in the caption of the post, which shows Scott eating with a confused look on his face. She continued, “I love you always and in all ways. I don’t want too seem sappy or hyperbolic but the simple truth is: I’m the luckiest girl in the world.”
