Though Page Turner is happy to be back to work, filming her second season of “Love It or List It” in Toronto, the longtime HGTV star is also facing waves of grief. Turner’s mom, Patricia, who died in June 2025, was from Toronto, so going back brought a flood of memories and emotions.
On February 17, 2026, Turner shared a vulnerable social media post from the plane, admitting that she was navigating the sadness and joy of getting to film in a place so connected to her mom, noting that “full circle ⭕️ moments are emotionally no joke!!”
Page Turner’s 1st Season of HGTV’s ‘Love It or List It’ Aired in 2025
HGTVAfter longtime “Love It or List It” star Hilary Farr retired in late 2023, Turner — who had starred on multiple past HGTV shows — was tapped to replace her. She was paired up with realtor David Visentin, who had been on the show since 2008 and filmed 258 episodes with Farr, per The Hollywood Reporter.
Turner and Visentin’s first season together premiered in April 2025 and was renewed for another season later that year. On February 17, as Turner left her home in Los Angeles to film in Toronto, she took a selfie of herself wearing her mom’s scarf on the plane, and admitted that she was feeling a mix of emotions.
“I used to be so thrilled landing in Toronto and being so grateful God included my Mom in my full circle journey,” she wrote in her caption, explaining that the locations of her HGTV shows were all connected to her family.
“My first show #FliporFlopNashville was filmed in Nashville -where my Dad is from,” she wrote. “Then I moved back home to LA, where I was born & raised, and co-created & EP’d (🔥🙏🏽) #FixMyFlip …. I always felt like, sorry Ma, you’re in my heart🤣 because I had one show where my Dad is from & another where I’m from but not where she’s from- Toronto.”
Page Turner Never Expected She’d Get to Film a Show in Her Mom’s Hometown
In her post, Turner said she knew it was highly unlikely that she’d also land a show that would film in her mom’s Canadian hometown.
So it felt like kismet when it happened, she wrote, “because BOOM, here comes the promotion & elevation straight from the seeds of prayers planted in heaven that I didn’t even directly pray for (ok that was dramatic, but so true! 🤣) – that God would NEVER EVER leave MY Mama out of this equation!!”
The mom of two then quipped, “I’m brought FULL CIRCLE as your new, amazinggggg & brilliant 🤣👸🏽 Co-host on #LoveItoListIt @hgtv where??? … 🥁🥁in TORONTO!! —> Not only where my Mom is from, but also where my beloved parents met 🥹I’m so ridiculously honored & grateful to be here & working in my dream, my mind is blown every day!”
Page Turner Feels ‘Blessed’ Her Mom Got to See Her Filming With HGTV in Toronto
While it was a joy to film in Toronto when her mom was still alive, heading there after her passing is still hard, Turner admitted in her February 18 post.
She wrote, “Whew, full circle ⭕️ moments are emotionally no joke!! 😭😭 …. And now that my sweet Mama has left me in this realm, there are different feelings of such absence landing here, but at the same time, soooo such immense gratefulness that God Himself ordered my steps, promotion & elevation to complete such a full circle journey. I’m so blessed she got to see it happen⭕️”
Turner continued, “My amazing therapist said grief is like a🎢…My goodness!! All I can do is shake my head sometimes because this is some bull shyzenit!!! LOL”
Many friends and fans commented with notes of sympathy and understanding, including one who wrote, “I love this SO much sister. Such a beautiful full circle moment. You wrote the vision. Did the work. Followed God’s leading. You are such an inspiration 🙏🏾❤️❤️❤️”
Turner’s boyfriend, Fox Sports and ESPN commentator Mike Hill, sweetly commented, “Both are you parents are looking down at you and so proud. You are everything they raised you to be and even MORE is on the way!! Keep expanding and stacking. God got you & so do I!! ❤️❤️”
