Tarek and Heather El Moussa are letting fans take a tour of their Orange County home, right down to the closet!
The HGTV stars opened the doors of their new home to Entertainment Tonight for not just a tour, but also a candid discussion about their blended family.
And of course there’s no place better to start than Tarek and Heather’s huge walk-in closet.
The couple let fans listen in as they planned the custom closet this past summer.
In a video posted to her Instagram account in July, Heather showed her and Tarek El Moussa’s meeting with their closet designer. Heather wrote, “Starting the closet design process and we’re so excited to bring you along for it! 💕 What’s one thing your dream closet has to have? I need ideas—drop them below! 👇”
But now, that dream closet has become a reality, with lighted shoe cabinets, purses in protective bags and tons of space for all of Heather’s clothes (and a few of Tarek’s!)
There’s even a massive island full of drawers.
Tarek & Heather El Moussa’s Bedroom Features a Massive Custom-Made Bed
Tarek and Heather El Moussa took ET reporter Diedre Behar into their primary suite as well, where they showed off a custom-made, massive 8-foot by 8-foot bed. (A traditional king sized bed is about 6 feet 4 inches wide by 6 feet 8 inches.
Still, Tarek says he only gets a tiny edge of that giant bed. “This is a real thing,” Tarek told Diedre. “Do you know every night I have to negotiate to get her to scoot from here to here,” he said indicating a spot on the bed just a few feet from the edge. “And then she has six feet over there and she tells me to scoot over!”
Tarek and Heather’s bedroom also features a mini movie theater.
Heather also shows off her sit-down lighted vanity, with all her Heather Rae Essentials products on full display. “I love having my products on display because it just reminds me of how hard I worked on Heather Rae Essentials.”
Heather was happy to show off her newest shade of her “lippie gloss” called Love Letters, forcing Tarek to serve as the model. “It’s my favorite lipstick,” good sport Tarek joked, blowing the camera a kiss.
Despite Elaborate Renovations, This Home is Not For Forever
Despite all the to-die-for features they’ve put into their new home, Tarek and Heather El Moussa don’t plan to stay there for the long haul.
The pair told Realtor.com that the search for their “forever home” continues. Their new home is only meant as an “in-between” home as they struggle to find exactly what they want.
On Realtor.com’s Celebrity Sanctuary, Tarek and Heather explain, “We got a new house because our other home was a beach house. It was a three-level beach house, rooftop, deck, and ocean view. It’s in a vacation area, which is hard to get to because there is a ton of traffic. There wasn’t a yard or pool, so honestly, it was for the kids. We wanted some more space, and we wanted to be by the park because the kids are No. 1, and we want to make sure they’re happy.”
According to Realtor.com, Tarek and Heather Rae El Moussa paid $5.2 million for their new home in Newport Beach, California.
That location is key to suiting their blended family. Tarek and Heather’s new home is located just a four-minute drive from the home of Tarek’s first wife Christina Haack.
