Kris Jenner Celebrates Mother’s Day With Iconic Throwback Photos
The reality TV juggernaut was born Kristen Mary Houghton on November 5, 1955. In 1978, she married her first husband, lawyer Robert Kardashian. They welcomed children Kourtney, Kim, Khloé, and Robert before divorcing in 1991. She then married Olympian Caitlyn Jenner and welcomed daughters Kendall and Kylie.
In honor of Mother’s Day this year, Kris Jenner posted several throwback photos capturing the loving relationships she maintained throughout her life, even long before fame. In one image, fans can see her as a young woman sitting on her own mother’s lap.
“Happy Mother’s Day!! Being a mother and grandmother is the most rewarding and meaningful role of my life,” the reality television star shared on Instagram. “It has brought me more joy, love, and purpose than I ever could have imagined.
Jenner included several photos from various eras of her life. At every stage, she has felt surrounded and loved by her children and her own mother. Now, she passes that love to the next generation, her grandchildren.
“I’m so grateful for my beautiful mom, who taught me everything about unconditional love, strength, and always showing up for your family,” she continued. “And I’m endlessly proud of the women and mothers that my daughters have become. The Entrepreneur Reflects on Building Her Empire
Today, Kris Jenner is the famous matriarch of the entire Kardashian brand. She reflected on building the empire in a recent interview.
“I often say to my kids, ‘I was a Kardashian before you were a Kardashian.’ What are you talking about?” the mother of five shared on the “SHE MD” podcast. She recognized that she had incredible female influences in her life. “I watched my mother and my grandmother work their whole lives. I watched them have careers, how they conducted themselves, how they came home from work and they were moms and grandmothers. And they went to work and they were bosses.”
That’s exactly when Kris Jenner knew what kind of example she wanted to set for her own children, even when they were little.
“When I got divorced and I had four kids and then knew I was gonna go to work, I was really excited about starting this new chapter in my life,” Jenner continued. “And that’s what I think my kids got to experience because they were at the exact age when one would pay attention to that sort of thing. Like, ‘Who is my mom? Who is this woman who is going to the office or going to work and then getting remarried and starting that career and being a manager to somebody?’ They saw it all. They saw the whole experience and the whole evolution.”
