Natalie Halcro and Olivia Pierson are back on reality TV, but this time, the longtime friends and cousins say they returned on their own terms.
Halcro and Pierson appeared on “The Viall Files” to discuss their new reality series, “The Girls,” their friendship with the Kardashian-Jenner family and what convinced them to step in front of cameras again. The former “WAGS” stars explained that the new show feels different because its six women already shared genuine friendships before filming began. Some have known each other for more than a decade.
The pair also said age and experience helped them approach reality TV with more confidence. Rather than worrying about maintaining a particular image, they focused on showing viewers who they really are. Halcro described the cast as vulnerable and open, adding that watching the series can feel like joining the women’s group chat.

Halcro and Pierson previously stepped away from reality TV after deciding the format might no longer be right for them. Although production companies approached them with other opportunities, they declined until the idea for “The Girls” developed naturally.
While staying with friend Nicole Williams English during the Los Angeles fires, the cousins revisited “WAGS” and began considering a return. The idea took shape further at a birthday party for Khloé Kardashian’s daughter, Tatum, where Halcro and Pierson saw several women who would eventually become part of the cast.
Once the women expressed interest, Halcro approached Kardashian about producing the project. Kardashian immediately supported the idea, and a call with Hulu soon followed.
Before filming, Halcro and Pierson already had creative ideas for the series, including how they wanted it shot. They cited “Sex and the City” as an inspiration and initially envisioned a format without traditional reality TV interviews.

Viewers will also get a glimpse into Halcro and Pierson’s dating lives. Both confirmed they are single, with Halcro explaining that she has spent time recognizing patterns in her past relationships.
Pierson, meanwhile, remains optimistic about finding a partner and eventually having children. Rather than focusing on the difficulties of dating in Los Angeles, she said she believes she could meet the right person anywhere.
“I’m very optimistic,” Pierson said, explaining that a future partner could enter her life through social media, while traveling or during an ordinary night out. She added that she would rather wait for the right match than settle.
The cousins are already thinking beyond the show’s first season. Both expressed interest in a second season, while Pierson said she is also focused on their hair extension company and finding her future husband. Halcro said she hopes to continue healing and eventually grow her family in a healthy way. They also said they believe there is still much more of their lives and friendships to share.
