Britney Spears has accomplished a lot in her life: a thriving music career, a role as a judge on the reality TV talent competition “X-Factor” Season 2 in 2012, millions of records sold worldwide, a slew of Grammy nominations, and a Las Vegas residency. But she is also a mother to two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, whom she shares with ex-husband Kevin Federline.

The couple’s eldest son is Sean Preston, born September 14, 2005, in Santa Monica, California. His younger brother, Jayden James, was born on September 12, 2006, at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Growing up, the boys mostly kept out of the limelight and lived with Federline, who had sole custody. As they got older, they became more open to embracing the spotlight.
Last week, on August 12, Jayden James made a rare public appearance at a MAC Cosmetics Party in Los Angeles. He wore a black leather jacket over a black T-shirt and black jeans. He looked handsome as he posed for photos.
Jayden has shown interest in modeling and made his debut during Paris Fashion Week alongside his brother Sean when they walked the runway for Vetements Menswear Spring/Summer 2027 in June. In May, Jayden was seen on the Dior Cruise 2027 runway in Los Angeles. InStyle reports that it was his first public outing in 11 years.
In an interview with Vogue, the brothers discussed their fashion week debut. “Oh my God, she was so nervous for us,” Jayden said of their mother. “She was just looking out for us and making sure that this was what we wanted to do.”
He continued, “She sent us flowers to our hotel as a good luck thing, and called and texted us so many times. It was good to have that and to carry that with us before we went out there.” He also shared the advice Spears gave them ahead of the show, saying, “I feel like she knew we had it. She was like, ‘Yeah, you guys are my sons. You’ve got this.’”

Fans may see a lot more of the brothers, who want to build careers in the music industry. But will they be modeling? Jayden told Vogue he felt like he could improve his catwalk strut, while Sean Preston said he didn’t feel like it was something he would pursue, despite enjoying the experience. “I feel like I could do better, since this was my first fashion show and everything. I could master my walk better — I was definitely stiff because I was nervous,” Jayden said of his Vetements show. “But Preston and I are trying to do music and other things.”
Spears has made occasional posts about her sons and her love for them. On December 26, 2024, she shared a short clip on Instagram, expressing her excitement at being reunited with her sons. “Best Christmas of my life !!! I haven’t seen my boys in 2 years !!! Tears of joy and literally in shock everyday koo koo crazy so in love and blessed!!! I’m speechless thank you Jesus,” she wrote.
