Este Haim Reveals the Secret to Her Happy Marriage to Tech Entrepreneur — ‘Keep Pursuing’

American musician and occasional actress Este Haim has revealed the secret to her happy marriage to Chainalysis co-founder and CEO Jonathan Levin.

Haim, 40 — who is, of course, most famous for being the bassist and a vocalist for the sibling pop-rock trio Haim — is in the midst of a busy 2026. Having composed the soundtrack to Leah McKendrick’s romantic comedy-drama movie “Voicemails for Isabelle” earlier in the year, she has now done the same for Will Gluck’s rom-comOne Night Only,” which released in the United States on Friday, August 7. She also has a small role in the latter film as a bouncer at a nightclub.

The star married Levin on New Year’s Eve, December 31, in 2025, having become engaged in February of the same year. On Monday, August 3, at the New York City premiere of the aforementioned “One Night Only,” she spoke to People to offer some relationship advice.

Este Haim Says ‘You Should Always Be Dating’ in Relationships

In her conversation with People, Este Haim was asked about the lessons she learned from her work on the rom-com “One Night Only” regarding her own relationship with Jonathan Levin.

She told the publication, “Keep pursuing, even if you’re in a relationship. You should always be dating. You should always be working toward having a better relationship. Relationships are work, and I think people forget about that.”

That sounds like solid advice and a great way to keep a relationship fresh. If it works for Haim and Levin, it could work for anyone.

In an article from July, Elle described Levin as originally being from the United Kingdom. There, he studied Economics at the University of Bristol, before receiving a Masters in Philosophy and Economics from the University of Oxford (per his LinkedIn profile). He then moved to New York City, where he co-founded Chainalysis, a cryptocurrency company.

Long may his relationship with Haim continue to be a happy one.

‘One Night Only’ is Receiving Mixed Reviews

Having released in theaters last week, “One Night Only” is receiving mixed reviews. Its current Rotten Tomatoes approval rating is a disappointing 45%. That said, its fan score on the review aggregator website is a far more encouraging 73%.

From its estimated production budget of around $25 million (per Variety), it has made back $5.7 million at the box office at the time of writing (per Box Office Mojo).

Per IMDb, the movie’s plot is as follows: “Two New Yorkers search for love on the one night of the year when pre-marital sex is legal.”

It stars Monica Barbaro, Callum Turner, Maya Hawke, Molly Ringwald, and LeVar Burton.

2026 isn’t Este Haim’s first venture into acting, nor is it the first time she’s worked on a soundtrack. Her previous acting credits include Paul Thomas Anderson’s 2021 coming-of-age comedy drama film “Licorice Pizza” and Max Minghella’s 2024 black comedy body horror movie “Shell.” In terms of soundtracks, she has worked on the Netflix television show “Maid,” as well as movies like “Cha Cha Real Smooth” (2022), “Do Revenge” (2022), “You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah” (2023), “Anyone But You” (2023), “Suncoast” (2024), and “Tow” (2025).

We look forward to seeing and hearing more of Este Haim’s work in future.
