Madonna and Guy Ritchie’s son Rocco Ritchie, was born on August 11, 2000. He is Madonna’s second child. The “Like a Prayer” singer and the film director had been dating since 1998 and split in 2008.
On Tuesday, September 2, Rocco was seen attending an event for the Netflix World Premiere of “The Gentleman” season 2 at Guildhall, London. He was joined by his dad and Jacqui Ainsley. Ainsley and Guy have been married since 2015. The event marked a rare public appearance for Rocco, who is looking so much like his famous dad!

GettyRocco is a talented artist and he has shared his artwork on Instagram. His most recent post was on August 25, when he posted a photo of himself posing next to a sculpture. In the caption, he revealed that he was proud of the project, writing, “Still love the way this came out.” Madonna showed her support, commenting with, “More please.”
Rocco has also posted photos of his studio and his paintings. He is incredibly talented.
“It certainly helped growing up in a house that was passionate about art and culture,” he told Vogue Hong Kong, SheKnows reports. “Their shared fascination eventually piqued my interest and since I can remember I’ve always been surrounded by it.”
He also explained why he chose to use the name Rhed when painting. “Rhed is just a name. The only real meaning and importance of that were so my life and my career weren’t confusing each other, especially at a point where I haven’t earned the title yet,” he told Vogue Hong Kong. “It’s not that I don’t feel proud to be who I am, on the contrary, I couldn’t be prouder of my parents and what they’ve achieved and in turn taught me. I just needed enough time to develop and experience my own lessons just like they did, without the extreme public judgment. Rhed was a mask until it wasn’t.”
Rocco’s Family Life With Madonna as His Mother
Rocco has given rare insight into his relationship with his mother, telling Ellen DeGeneres in 2012 that Madonna was strict. “She’s a good mother … She’s very strict but in a good way,” he said, People reports. Madonna is also a mother to five other children: Lourdes, David, Mercy, Stella and Estere.
Madonna has spoken about her love for her children, notably in June 2023, after she was hospitalized for a bacterial infection. She dedicated a post to them on Instagram. “Love from family and friends is the best medicine. One month out of the hospital and I can reflect,” she wrote, E! News reports. “As a Mother you can really get caught up In the needs Of your children and the seemingly endless giving……….. But when the chips were down my children really showed up for me. I saw a side to them I had never seen before. It made all the difference.”
