“Last night was a real wake-up call for me. I’ve been pushing myself past my limits lately, running on empty, and my body finally said enough. It honestly scared me,” she shared.

Please note: People also reported that the rapper will not perform at the musical’s matinee and evening performances on Wednesday, April 1.

‘I Thought I Was Gonna Faint on Stage’

Megan said she began feeling unwell shortly after the opening scenes of “Moulin Rouge! The Musical” in New York City, where she recently stepped into the role of Zidler.

“I thought I was gonna faint on stage. I really tried to push through my performance, but I just couldn’t. Hotties I wanna be real with y’all because you mean everything to me and I hate letting y’all down.

“I just need one day to rest, reset, and take care of myself the way I should have been…”

She also reassured fans that her time away will be brief as she focuses on recovery.

“I’ll be right back on that stage Thursday, stronger, clearer, and ready to give you 100% the way you deserve. Thank you for always riding with me and loving me through everything.”

A spokesperson later spoke to The Daily Mail and confirmed that Megan was taken to a local hospital for evaluation after experiencing concerning symptoms during the show.

“On Tuesday evening, Megan was transported to a local hospital to undergo a medical evaluation after experiencing concerning symptoms,” the spokesperson said.

“Doctors ultimately identified extreme exhaustion, dehydration, vasoconstriction, and low metabolic levels as the cause of her symptoms. Megan has since been treated, discharged, and is now resting. Megan is incredibly grateful for the prayers and well-wishes from her supporters and is looking forward to resuming her role as Zidler on Moulin Rouge on Thursday.”

Show Interrupted as Fans Share Concern

As per a report in The Hollywood Reporter, the performance at the Al Hirschfeld Theatre was paused mid-show, leaving audience members briefly unsure about the situation.

One attendee said the show stopped after the opening scenes, with staff asking guests to remain seated while updates were shared.

It was later confirmed that Megan’s role was taken over by another performer for the rest of the evening, allowing the production to continue.

Support quickly followed online, including a message from her hairstylist encouraging fans to keep her in their thoughts.

A New Chapter on Broadway

Megan began her run in “Moulin Rouge! The Musical” on March 24 and is expected to perform through May 17.

Ahead of her Broadway debut, she reflected on what the opportunity meant to her and the new creative challenge it brought. “Stepping onto the Broadway stage and joining the Moulin Rouge! The Musical team is an absolute honor,” she said in a statement published by Variety.

“I’ve always believed in pushing myself creatively, and theatre is definitely a new opportunity that I’m excited to embrace.

“Broadway demands a different level of discipline, preparation, and storytelling, but I’m up for the challenge and can’t wait for the Hotties to see a new side of me.”
