Pink Celebrates Her 47th Birthday Today: See Her Throwback Photos From Childhood to Now

Alecia Beth Moore-Hart, better known by her professional name, Pink, turns 47 today, on Tuesday, September 8. To celebrate her birthday and incredible career, a fan page shared several throwback photos of Pink, and she included the post on her Instagram.

Pink Turns 47: See Her Adorable Throwback Photos

The Instagram post shows Pink as a child, through her teenage years, and her many transformations from young adult to today. We see her bold hairstyles, including bright pink hair, and her various clothing styles. Pink is celebrated for her confidence, self-acceptance, and for her willingness to be authentically herself.

Some of Pink’s most singable songs include “So What,” “Just Give Me a Reason,” “Raise Your Glass,” “Cover Me in Sunshine,” and “Get the Party Started.” She has won a slew of awards, including three Grammy Awards; her albums have sold millions of copies; she has been a guest mentor on “The Voice”; and she even has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, which she received in 2019. The musician is a force, and no one can stop her, but she was once told that having children would end her career.

Pink Reflects on the Importance of Family

The singer is a mother to two children, son Jameson and daughter Willow Sage, whom she shares with her husband, Carey Hart. In a February 2023 interview with Zane Lowe for Apple Music, she reflected on her desire to have children. “Everyone told me, ‘If you have children right now, your career’s over,’” she said, People reports.

She continued, “Obviously, we’re all much more complex than any of that, but when I had a child, I think it softened me to the world, the part that didn’t understand me. And I think that’s when my career began, really. I mean, I did a lot of stuff before that, but really, truly, I think it’s when I started to really understand myself and understand the world and my place in it.”

Pink Is a Mom to Two Beautiful Children

Pink wanted to start a family and discussed its importance, and how it contrasts with the loneliness of her career. “Having a family was really important to me because my family life was screwed as a kid, and I’m super affectionate and cuddly and goofy. Just doing music wasn’t enough for me,” she said. “I was lonely. I was so lonely. It’s a very lonely business.”

She revealed that family for her is “just as important to me as ambition,” and while she loves performing and songwriting, being able to experience motherhood, even the simple things like spending time outdoors and cuddling, was equally important, or as she put it, “one of the coolest things I’ll ever do.”

Pink has a beautiful family, and in a June 21 post for Father’s Day, Hart celebrated the incredible people in his life. “I have been blessed with the two most amazing children I could ever ask for. Thank you so much Willz and Jamo for all of the love,” he wrote on Instagram. “By far, my greatest accomplishments are you two. Raising these two humans w/ mama @pink has been my life’s highlight. You cooked two great humans, mama.”
