Although the procedure was successful, Dayne later experienced complications that resulted in a serious infection. She spent several weeks hospitalized while recovering.

In an interview with Parade in May 2025, Dayne shared how she processed the diagnosis and traveled to Hawaii following the news.

“I went to Hawaii to die,” Dayne said.

“If I crash, then I’ll crash here [in Hawaii],” she added during the interview.

Dayne ultimately recovered and has since returned to performing and connecting with fans.
