Is Taylor Swift Featured in ‘Toy Story 5’?

Did “Toy Story 5” leave a “Blank Space” in the film to be filled by Taylor Swift?

Rumors have been swirling in recent weeks about the possibility of the “Anti-Hero” singer being featured in the upcoming Pixar movie. The movie’s director has officially put those rumors to rest.

“Toy Story 5” is set to hit theaters on June 19 … without a Swift music feature.

In a recent interview at Pixar HQ with creator Shivani Khosla (@Khoslaa), the movie’s director made it clear that Swift was not part of the movie’s plans.

“It surprised us. What a freakin’ honor,” “Toy Story 5” director Andrew Stanton told the London-based creator.

Producer Lindsey Collins added, “It would be pretty amazing.”

Stanton ended the rumors officially with, “The sad truth is we watched the movie being mixed last week and the song on the end was not Taylor Swift.”

How Did These Rumors Start?

At the end of last month, Swifties noticed that the “Opalite” singer’s website had a countdown on it. It wasn’t just any ordinary countdown, though—the background showcased a blue background with white clouds, similar to the movie’s style.

Swifties nearly broke the internet with the countdown, seemingly coming to the conclusion that one of Swift’s songs—or herself—would be featured in the franchise’s fifth movie coming out in theaters next month.

The countdown was taken down minutes later with no explanation.

What Is ‘Toy Story 5’ About?

“Toy Story 5” is bringing Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie and the rest of the toys back with a very 2026 problem: technology.

According to Disney, the new movie is about the toys’ jobs becoming “exponentially harder” when they face a new threat to playtime. That threat appears to be electronics, with the gang going up against a world where kids are just as focused on screens as they are on their toys.

The official trailer introduced Lilypad, a new tablet device voiced by Greta Lee. Disney described the character as having “her own disruptive ideas” about what is best for Bonnie, raising one big question for the toys: “Will playtime ever be the same?”
