T.I. and Tiny just gave fans one of those celebrity family moments that stops a scroll cold. It is sweet, stylish and impossible not to feel if you remember watching this family on television when their kids were little. Major Harris is 17 now and somehow that number hits harder than it should.
On April 19, Tiny took to Instagram to share footage of son Major Harris heading off to his senior prom and the Harris family did not send him off quietly. Loved ones gathered outside to celebrate him with oversized “PROM” letters and a full fireworks display. Major stepped out in a tailored double-breasted suit with a black tie and a turquoise pocket square that matched his date’s dress to perfection. He looked every bit the part of a young man closing out one of the biggest chapters of his life.
Tiny’s caption hit exactly the right note. “Mama’s fatman @majorpharris grew up on us to be the coolest, smartest and unbothered kid in the world but still that guy,” she wrote. “Super proud of him for many reasons but its 12 grade prom, he and his date was looking too good. Thx to everyone who came to send them off. Everybody loves Major.”
Cardi B, Kandi Burruss and the Comment Section Could Not Get Enough
The post pulled in a wave of celebrity love immediately. Cardi B jumped in with “He such a gentleman and she so shy.” Kandi Burruss and Marlo Hampton both dropped heart emojis. Monyetta Shaw-Carter wrote, “So clean! The perfect gentleman. They look great!” The consensus across the board was simple. Major carried himself exactly right and the whole moment felt genuinely earned.
Brother King Harris made things even more entertaining with his own Instagram video capturing his real-time reaction to seeing his little brother suited up. He admitted he had not even known prom was happening that night. “This man Major ain’t tell nobody bout his prom,” he wrote. “My boy grown now!!”

Major turning 17 and heading to senior prom is another reminder of just how much time has passed for this family. T.I. and Tiny welcomed Major on May 16, 2008, and together they also share son King and daughter Heiress. T.I. has three children from previous relationships: sons Messiah and Domani with Lashon Thompson and daughter Deyjah with Ranniqua Brannum. Tiny brought daughter Zonnique into the family from her relationship with Zonnie “Zeboe” Pullins. Seven children total and fans have watched pieces of this crew grow up through music, red carpets and their VH1 reality show “T.I. and Tiny: The Family Hustle.”
