Actor Darren Day was rushed to the hospital after suffering an injury just an hour before he was set to take the stage and perform.
Taking to Instagram, Day shared a selfie of himself holding up his arm, which had a large brace on it.
“Currently sitting in A&E with suspected broken bones in my wrist and elbow!,” Day captioned the post. “Just over an hour ‘til I’m on
stage!! 🙁x”
Day is currently in the production of Mother Goose and was set for two shows at the Roses Theatre in Tewkesbury. He plays

Darren Day Just Became A Grandfather
Just a week before his post revealing he was rushed to the hospital, Day shared an emotional post, announcing that he is now a grandfather.
“Something beautiful, something true, My baby boy, Corey became a father To a precious son, wrapped softly in blue,” he captioned the numerous photos. “I remember the moment when you arrived, As if it was yesterday, You were so perfect, so full of light, You took my breath away.”
“You came into my world And changed me forever inside, Gave my life a deeper meaning, Filled my heart with pride,” he continued. “And now here you stand, A father so strong, so kind, Holding your own little boy, A love like yours, I recognise.”
He went on to call his new grandson his “greatest gift.”
“I’ll love him unconditionally, As I have always loved you, A bond that time could never break, Endless, pure, and true,” Day continued. “One of the greatest days of life. Welcome to the world Colton. Grandad loves you so much… and is actually old enough to be a Grandparent, unlike Nanny! @suzi_shaw
