Video is Very Telling at Home of Savannah Guthrie’s Dear Mother

In an alarming new development in the disappearance of 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie, mother of Savannah Guthrie, a reporter has published a video taken at the missing grandmother’s home that appears to show a trail of blood in front of the door. Earlier this afternoon, a portion of a 911 call regarding the case was published.

Brian Entin, a senior national correspondent at News Nation, captioned the video, which he shared on X, “You can see here the ring camera is missing from Nancy Guthrie’s front door.”

Missing persons private investigator Steve Fischer commented on Entin’s post to clarify that the reporter was not intruding on the crime scene by taking the video. He wrote, “the Sheriff said at todays press conference they are done processing the house and turned it back over to the family last night. The rest of the forensics is completed in the lab with the samples collected.”

Blood Trail Video Was Published Shortly After Sheriff ‘Walked Back’ Reports of Blood at the Scene

Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos speaks to the press on February 3, 2026 about the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie.

In a confusing twist, the Pima County Sheriff, Chris Nanos, claimed earlier today to the same outlet who published the blood trail video that there were no known signs of blood being found at the scene of Nancy Guthrie’s presumed abduction. A video shows him telling News Nation, “I’m not sure where that came from. Maybe I said something, and trust me, I’ve said a lot, talked to a lot of people. And some of those comments – on my fault, not the media – may have been distorted or taken out of context.”

Sheriff Nanos added, “We’re not confirming whether there was blood in the home or any of that.”

However, Nanos did at least confirm that DNA samples of some kind have been submitted to the lab for processing. He said, “We were hopeful that it would give us a different profile than just hers, but that’s where we’re at with the DNA. We have other items that we submit for DNA research and see what that comes up, but that was the first submittal we’ve got back, and we’ll continue to wait for lab results, see if we find something else.”
