“The Devil Wears Prada 2” is one of the most anticipated movies of 2026, with both Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway returning. Still, in addition to wondering about movie reviews, potential moviegoers want to know whether the 2026 sequel features an end-credits scene. Unfortunately, this is not the case.
According to USA Today, while there is no end-credits scene in 20th Century Studios’ “The Devil Wears Prada 2,” fans can stick around to hear music from the soundtrack, including new tracks from Lady Gaga, who appears in the film.
David Frankel directed the movie, as he did the first. In addition to Streep and Hathaway, it stars Emily Blunt, Stanley Tucci, Patrick Brammall, and more.

On Rotten Tomatoes, “The Devil Wears Prada 2” has an impresssive 79% rating. Notably, the sequel film debuted with a 76%, meaning the more people have seen the movie, the more critically acclaimed it’s become.
It’s also worth noting that the Streep and Hathaway-led sequel has already surpassed the first in regard to critical reception. The 2006 movie has a 75% rating on the platform. Audiences gave it a 76% rating.
Regarding reviews, critic Katie Walsh said, “It’s bigger, better, and it resonates with the cultural zeitgeist while maintaining the spirit, style, and wit of the original. Like Andy, the sequel is older and wiser.”
Alex Bentley wrote, “Even though the filmmakers don’t utilize those characters in ways that are as memorable as the first time around, the film is still a fun time at the theater that gives moviegoers a glimpse at a world many can only dream to be in.”
To give a different perspective, Kristen Lopez gave the movie a D+, writing, “The first Devil Wears Prada was certainly an artifact of the 2000s, and this sequel is too, in that it’s a soul-less nostalgia grab with some interesting opinions it doesn’t really want to dive into.”
The Meryl Streep & Anne Hathaway-Led Film Is Expected to Be Huge
Not only is “The Devil Wears Prada 2” critically acclaimed, but it’s also expected to earn big in its opening weekend. According to Variety, current tracking has the film projected to debut with between $75 million and $80 million in the United States alone, where it will play on 4,100 screens.
Regarding international audiences, “Prada 2” is expected to bring in another $100 million, bringing its opening weekend total to $175 million to $180 million.
Budget-wise, the outlet reports that it costs about $100 million to produce. This does not include marketing budget, which can, in some cases, nearly double the overall cost. Still, even with the large investment, it seems the sequel film will easily turn a profit. It’s also worth noting that the first “Devil Wears Prada” only cost $40 million to produce.
The new movie should easily debut at number one at the box office. Per the report, “Michael” will be number two with an estimated $45 million to $50 million for its second weekend.
