A young and talented beauty queen has died at just 21 following what has been described as a “tragic accident,” leaving her family, friends, and an entire community in mourning. Eleisha Skinner, who was crowned Miss Faversham in 2022, died on January 8, as confirmed by The Faversham Carnival Club.

Her passing has left the town of Faversham grieving the loss of a young woman who was widely known and deeply loved.


Faversham Carnival Club Confirms Her Death

According to Mirror UK, the Faversham Carnival Club confirmed the news on Tuesday, releasing a statement about her death.

“It is with deep regret and sadness that we have to let you know that our beautiful Miss Faversham 2022, Eleisha Skinner, died on January 8 following a tragic accident.”

No further details surrounding the incident have been made public. In a heartfelt tribute, the club added: “Eleisha was a fantastic ambassador for Faversham and a truly lovely girl.

“We all have some lovely memories of our time spent with her. Our thoughts are with her family and friends at this devastating time. Eleisha will be missed by so many.”

Following the announcement, tributes poured in across social media, with friends and community members sharing memories of her warmth, kindness, and radiant smile.

As per UK Sun, Caroline Kyaba wrote: “Eleisha was a beautiful soul with an infectious smile. She always spoke with love about her beautiful family. I remember her proudly sharing photos of her brother’s graduation from the army, and the hope and confidence she had in him.”

A friend named Laura Webster wrote: “Going to bed thinking of the most gorgeous of soul’s, Eleisha Skinner, who we knew through the carnival community. She always had a beautiful smile on her face, carried herself with such elegance and had an infectious laugh. Rest in Peace beautiful girl 🕊️”

Fundraiser & Funeral Plans Announced

A GoFundMe has been set up in Skinner’s memory to benefit the Thames Valley Air Ambulance, which provides emergency services across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.

Her family praised the organization as “fantastic,” saying: “With the amazing response of the emergency services, we were able to spend her last few days with her.”

The fundraiser description states: “Our Beautiful daughter Eleisha was in a tragic accident at the young age of 21yrs. With the amazing response of the emergency services, we were able to spend her last few days with her. The air ambulance doctor was fantastic, we would like to raise funds in Eleisha’s name to support this charity, so they can continue the amazing work that they do.”

As of writing this story, £2,865 raised of 4K goal with over 90 donations made in her honor.

A celebration of Skinner’s life is scheduled for Friday, February 6, at 2.30pm at St Mary of Charity Church, followed by a wake at Judd’s Folly.
