GettyOn December 17, CBS reported that the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office later confirmed that Rob & Michele died from “multiple sharp force injuries,” ruling their deaths a homicide.
Their son, Nick Reiner, was arrested the following day and charged with two counts of first-degree murder. If convicted, the 32-year-old faces the possibility of life in prison without parole or the death penalty.
Nick has a history of struggles with addiction and was previously diagnosed with schizophrenia. According to a CNN report, his next court appearance is scheduled for April 29.
