Jessica Alba & Daughter Honor Get Matching Tattoos Ahead of College: Pics

Jessica Alba and her eldest daughter, Honor, are marking a major milestone with matching tattoos.

The mother-daughter duo recently got coordinating ink on their wrists, with Honor offering fans a glimpse at their new designs.

The tattoos feature an eye and an infinity symbol, giving the pair a permanent reminder of their bond as Honor prepares to leave home for college.

Honor, 18, shared a photo of herself and Alba holding hands over the center console of a car on Instagram July 1. The teenager captioned the sweet snapshot, “Me x Mama ♾️♾️♾️.”

The Two Expressed Their Love Through Ink

Tattoo artist Daniel “Winterstone” Winter later gave followers a closer look at the mother-daughter designs. Sharing photos of the tattoos July 5, Winter wrote, “What a way to show love with an unforgettable experience!”

He also praised Alba and Honor for creating “a memory they will share forever.”

The matching tattoos come at an emotional time for Alba, who is preparing to send her oldest child off to college.

During a recent conversation with PEOPLE ahead of the premiere of her Roku Original series “Honest Renovations,” the actress opened up about the transition and admitted she isn’t sure she can prepare herself for the milestone.

“It hasn’t really hit me personally, but I think for any parent, just that milestone, it’s intense,” Alba said. “I don’t think you can prepare for it. You just have to tackle it when it happens.”

Honor is Alba’s oldest of three children. The actress shares her daughters, Honor and Haven, and son Hayes with her ex husband, Cash Warren.

Alba Often stalks About Motherhood

Alba has frequently shared glimpses of her family life on social media, and she has previously spoken about how quickly her children’s needs change as they grow.

For the actress, adapting to those changes is one of the most challenging parts of motherhood.

“It’s just how rapidly the kids grow and how quickly what they need from you changes. Almost weekly, daily,” Alba told SheKnows back in April 2023. “And for me, it’s showing up for each one of them in the way that they need me to in that moment. That’s kind of hard because they’re all in such different places in their lives.”

Alba explained that parenting looks dramatically different as children move through various stages of development.

“When they’re little, you’re just trying to keep them alive,” she said. “It’s more about just cuddling them and nurturing them, and making sure they get their sleep and they get fed. That’s pretty much it.”

As children become teenagers and young adults, however, Alba said the relationship becomes “much more nuanced.”

“And, yeah, it has to change. Every day it’s sort of different. They’re growing, living, evolving beings, so yeah, it definitely changes,” she added.

For Alba and Honor, their matching tattoos now offer a lasting reminder of their connection as the teenager prepares to begin a new chapter.

While college represents a major change for the family, the matching designs make one thing clear: No matter where Honor goes next, she and her mom will carry a piece of their bond with them.
