When Roberts stepped onto the red carpet, she did so in style, wearing a navy floor-length patterned gown with long sleeves. It complemented her in every way and was effortlessly stylish.

The dress was a custom Atelier Versace gown by Creative Director Dario Vitale. The pattern is a “handcrafted damier motif embroidered with black silk thread,” People reports.

This was the second time that Roberts made a statement with her outfit choices. On August 27, she wore a cardigan in honor of “After The Hunt” director, Luca Guadagnino. The black-and-white design featured a pattern made out of pictures of the director’s face.

“After The Hunt” has also been met with critical praise, and at its world premiere at the festival, it received a six-minute ovation, Deadline reports. The moment meant so much to Roberts and Guadagnino, and in a video posted on X by Deadline, Guadagnino is seen approaching Roberts and embracing her.

The pair appears visibly emotional. Guadagnino then takes a bow for the crowd, who continue to clap and cheer.

At the press conference at the Venice Film Festival, Roberts discussed the film and its significance to her. “It’s such a story to me,” she said, Deadline reports. “I remember the first time I saw a film called ‘Tender Mercies.’ And I just thought there was something magical about the idea that a camera just landed in a place and happened to document what was going on.”

She continued, “And that’s how I feel about this movie. We’re not making statements. We are portraying these people in this moment in time, and the camera has fallen from the sky in this particular moment and captures all this.”

“After The Hunt” is scheduled for release on October 10, 2025.
