Xfinity’s Jurassic Park Super Bowl Ad Gives Funny Alternate Take on ’90s Classic: WATCH

A few days before the Super Bowl on February 8, 2026, Xfinity released a catchy commercial starring a de-aged version of the original cast of the 1993 family favorite.

Many fans enjoyed the new ad, with one commenting, “If the Jurassic franchise ended here with this commercial, it would be the perfect happy ending!”

Jurassic Park Xfinity Ad Humorously Shows an Alternate Reality

The ad opens with a dark, rainy shot of the iconic Jurassic Park vehicles before cutting to a clip of the team having technological struggles. Sam Neill (Alan Grant) throws up his hands and says, “What’d I touch?” to which Jeff Goldblum (Dr. Ian Malcolm) replies, “You didn’t touch anything. We’re stopped.”

Inside the control room, Samuel L. Jackson panics, saying, “Defenses are failing all over the park,” in a scene reminiscent to what happened in the movie. However, in this version of events, Xfinity comes to the rescue, preventing a disaster.

“Whoa! This place is awesome!” says an Xfinity guy, marveling at the center of operations before finding a simple fix. “You should’ve plugged this in,” he declares, before every computer restarts as the film’s majestic soundtrack swells.

As the systems reboot and the lights flicker back on, Dern exclaims, “I think we’re back in business! Guys, that could’ve been bad.” In the alternate reality conjured up in the commercial, the team spends a weekend of relaxation rather than a harrowing few days of dodging danger and loose dinosaurs.

2025 Was a Huge Year for the ‘Jurassic Park’ Franchise

With the smashing success of “Jurassic World: Rebirth,” the film’s star Scarlett Johansson topped lists as the world’s highest-grossing actress, a title she held onto until Zoe Saldana topped the list with “Avatar: Fire & Ash” in December.

Johansson surpassed her MCU costar Samuel L. Jackson, who starred alongside her in films such as “The Avengers” and “Iron Man 2,” to clinch the top spot, a People report pointed out back on July 8.

Johansson described on a Jimmy Fallon appearance how she “manifested” the role, saying, “I do believe it now, that the manifestation is a real thing. The “Marriage Story” star revealed she’d been trying for the past three decades to get a part in the popular franchise, before saying “fangirling” is a part of her strategy.

The talk show segment then flashed back to 2023, showing a clip of the “Black Widow” actress recalling the “Jurassic Park” pup tent she had as a child. The star said she slept in the tent on the floor of her bedroom for months.
