Katy Perry’s daughter Daisy will have some exciting stories to share with friends as she gets older, and it is all thanks to her superstar mom! Perry recently gave fans an intimate look at some of the sweet, everyday backstage rituals she and her 6-year-old daughter kept up with on tour following the release of her concert film, “Katy Perry: The Lifetimes Tour – Live From Paris.” The tour started on Apr. 23, 2025 in Mexico City at Arena CDMX, and ended on Dec. 7, 2025 in Abu Dhabi at Etihad Park.
According to an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Katy Perry’s daughter Daisy has her own road case, which the star says was custom-built for her by someone on her crew and stocked with glitter pens, stickers and other supplies. Perry described it as a small but consistent part of tour life for her daughter and, ultimately, for her as well.
“She comes backstage, she opens it up, and she crafts, and she’s coloring. And she was coloring so much that actually we started framing each picture that she would make,” Perry said.
Touring Together Means More Mother-Daughter Time
The road case and framed pictures are small details, but they perfectly capture what motherhood means for Perry, who has to juggle the demands of stardom with her desire to dote on her child. The road case Daisy keeps has become a constant amid the fast-paced nature of touring, and Perry says the framed pictures have become a heartwarming part of their routine.
Perry added, “Every day I’d come into the room, and my girls helped set up backstage. They would frame the previous day’s picture, and it was cozy and amazing.”
In the exclusive, the former American Idol judge referred to Daisy as her “road dog,” revealing some of what she does on tour, including coming out for less than half of the performance, during which she dances and “joins the circle.”
For Perry, having Daisy, who recently clocked 6 on Aug. 25, join her on the Katy Perry Lifetimes Tour is about more than just entertainment. She framed the experience as an opportunity for her daughter to develop skills such as adaptability and learn to be comfortable in different environments.
“She’s moving with me, so she’s really gaining this adaptability of being able to be malleable in different environments and situations, so I think that’s a value,” Perry said, adding that Daisy has grown especially close to the dancers and calling her a “co-pilot” on tour.
Her Time on the Road Is Now Preserved on Screen
It is not the first time Katy Perry has given the public a glimpse into the life Daisy enjoys while on the road with her. On Instagram, she has shared photos documenting her daughter’s presence on the Lifetimes Tour.
These include shots of Daisy backstage at stops such as New York’s Madison Square Garden, where she was pictured dressed in a mini version of her mom’s stage attire while having fun with a toy puppy. Other posts have shared glimpses of Daisy exploring cities on tour days off, including one featuring her at Boston’s Museum of Science.
Some of her adventures are now preserved on screen in the concert film, “Live From Paris,” which was available in theaters and IMAX for a limited time beginning Wednesday, Sept. 2. The film, which captures the tour’s final chapter, also gives fans a rare look at Daisy, whom Perry has largely kept out of the public eye over the years.
Before the film, fans mostly got glimpses of Daisy that Perry shared on her own terms through social media and select interviews. While Perry acknowledges that life on tour with a child involves constant change, the small rituals she enjoys with Daisy, from the road case and framed artwork to her participation in the shows, help make life on the road feel a little more like home.
